Would the company be able to take a disciplinary action against me if I were to go on the shop floor exactly when my shift starts rather than 5 mins before or would this not be legal?

Additionally would being required to work an extra 5 minutes unpaid every day be regarded as "wage theft" or is this common practice.

Yes thius type of thing is goling on all the time slipping in extra time for frims and shafting staff. A friend who got a job in a small office was told that staff have 30 mins lunch but nobody takes it!!! lol! well she did, but she felt awful eating alone when everybody worked but when promotion came round guess who go it? her! I wouldn't rock the boat for 5 mins just get it back in toilet breaks, dawdling etc. what they gain in time they will lose in goodwill!
