:mad: Hate any adverts with creepy children/childrens voices
Like the Velvet and evian adverts and of course that bloody Haribo adverts makes my skin crawl
Also hate the Moneysupermarket advert and the confused.com ones
The Maccyd's one I thought was just rubbishFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Love it, Moon River is my favourite record. No idea what it advertises though.
Cheap chocolate. Perfect choice of character - pick somebody to look like an old movie star who just happened to have eating disorders and that'll convince women that you can stuff a whole bar of this greasy, oily, almost cocoa free product and not get fat.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Oooh, that Nationwide ad annoys me to. As if anyone would do that!
The Specsavers ones are good.
I remember the first time after watching that ad my first thought was, so really and truly, Twitter would have been the ‘hero’ of the advert (or perhaps they missed a trick there) too many variables. So first off the son tweeted that he had lost a scarf on X number bus in X area. So we are meant to believe that someone just so happened to purposefully search for the keywords ‘missing scarf’ ‘X number bus’ etc and think ooohh! I remember so and so from work telling me about finding some manky old scarf on the bus that fits the description.
And also, assuming the lady who worked in the bank just so happened to be getting the bus and saw said scarf, who actually picks up someone’s random clothes left on a bus?! At most, they’d be lucky if the bus driver saw it and didn’t just chuck it at the end of his shift. Or perhaps someone else who was on the same bus when he left it would have picked it up and kept it for their own use. Also, what if it was just a random member of the public who spotted it and saw the tweet? Or what if the said lady worked for a rival bank? And since when did bank staff go out of their way to visit a customer at their home address to drop something off? I could go on but suffice to say, I can’t stand that advert. :rotfl:I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. Reminds me.
Was watching Gavin & Stacey last night on UKGold and an advert for lovehoney.co.uk came on.
Most definitely not safe for work

If you think our adverts were bad, have you seen Japanese ads? They're mad, and half the time, you have no idea what it is they're selling, but they're very entertaining.0

Can't stand the Travel Lodge ad.Those look alikey puppets creep me out,and then they sing...arhhhhh!!
Yep, the Travelodge ad is awful, The cheesiest song and horrid creepy puppets, and yes one does look like David Cameron. :rotfl:Seems like the ad has done its job, it has you all talking about it.
Personally, I think you need to get out more if you have nothing better to do than start a thread about an advert
Not really any need for that is there?
And it's a bit hypocritical of you to say that, because you seemingly have nothing better to do than respond to threads you see as pointless!Cornucopia wrote: »
I'm sure I must have a least favourite ad - struggling to think what it might be. Oh, yes, the stupid Haribo ones where the adults have baby voices - argh!!!!!!!!
