I don't know if it's shown down south, but up in Scotland, there's a Scottish bank that features a child narrating a trip down memory lane for when his parents were courting and how the nice bank (think the taxpayer bailed it out with billions) lent them the money to buy their lovely family home.

    That's also puke inducing.

Yes there's an equally vomit inducing advert for our friends south of the border. I saw it once on ITV Player. Boak.

    I hope that is sarcasm.

Cinema Paradiso is one of the few films that made me cry.

If an advert, cynically designed to flog goods or services, made me weep, this would be very bad indeed.

It's not sarcasm, I think it's a really lovely advert.

The Nationwide ad is cute, but kind of weird as an advert.

I said to my partner, in reaction to that advert where a bank reunites a new father with his childhood scarf, 'When did we become all sentimental and American?'.

My comment on first seeing that advert was 'since when do Nationwide do lost property?' An utterly ridiculous ad!

My favourite continues to be SpecSavers, OAPs and aerobics...'shaaake what ya Mother gave you!'

I've not seen the advert but i'm sure if i had a first date with a woman and took her to McDonalds, i wouldn't get a second date.

I'm still queasy from that toe-curling cringefest that is the 'Sound of Music' Great British bake off promo...

No the disastrous date is them walking around and ten pin bowling. After the date they bump into each other at McDonlands and order the same food bonding over a strawberry milkshake and a Big Mac or something.

Oooh, that Nationwide ad annoys me to. As if anyone would do that!

The Specsavers ones are good. :)
