If you think our adverts were bad, have you seen Japanese ads? They're mad, and half the time, you have no idea what it is they're selling, but they're very entertaining.
Does it help if you speak Japanese at all?0 -
Those puppets look like the sort almost exclusively used in churches for (often very bad) performances meant to tell children something about Jesus, when a well told story would have done the job much better.
I'm sure they are used for other educational purposes, but not to flog cheap hotels.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Not being able to speak Japanese myself, I can only guess that knowledge of the language would help.0 -
Has your relationship gone horrible wrong? Have some junk food and watch in amazement as that solves everything. Ha. Now, if it was copious quantities of alcohol that fixed everything, even if only for a short time, I'd find it a bit more credible
The one I'm particularly loathing right now is "Wahanda".

I had managed to avoid the Haribo ad but decided I had to know what everyone was talking about. I seriously wish I hadn't0

And despite all that misdirection, the rooms still look cr*p, I mean what's with that cheap plastic school hall chair in the corner...?
Plus now there's the added terror in my mind that you might end up in a room next to some ventriloquists' swingers party. The mind boggles...0 -

) too many variables. So first off the son tweeted that he had lost a scarf on X number bus in X area. So we are meant to believe that someone just so happened to purposefully search for the keywords ‘missing scarf’ ‘X number bus’ etc and think ooohh! I remember so and so from work telling me about finding some manky old scarf on the bus that fits the description.
And also, assuming the lady who worked in the bank just so happened to be getting the bus and saw said scarf, who actually picks up someone’s random clothes left on a bus?! At most, they’d be lucky if the bus driver saw it and didn’t just chuck it at the end of his shift. Or perhaps someone else who was on the same bus when he left it would have picked it up and kept it for their own use. Also, what if it was just a random member of the public who spotted it and saw the tweet? Or what if the said lady worked for a rival bank? And since when did bank staff go out of their way to visit a customer at their home address to drop something off? I could go on but suffice to say, I can’t stand that advert. :rotfl:
Hell's teeth, I'd hate to watch telly with you, if you analyse all the ads like this!!0 -
I love the mcdonalds ad for the pregnant woman, but that said for all those coming on here to rant about it well....proves the ad has done it's job and got people talking!
I love the oasis slogan atm...it's summer, your thirsty and we have sales targets.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Yes, that's good. Certainly better than the old one: "for people who don't like water", which received a fair amount of criticism.0 -
The whole point of an advert is to make you remember or talk about it, regardless of whether you love or hate it.
Expression "any publicity is good publicity" seems to fit here!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
