Need to clear the landing today and get all the Cs stuff put ready to go. Going to add a suitcase to it, it's a spare so I can fill it with stuff to make transporting easier then they can keep it.

Got a load to hang out and another sorted ready to go in the wm
Table needs clearing again and I have some mending to do, also need to make a phone call I've been putting off.
Hope to catch up on yesterday and today's lists as well.

Hugs good wishes and posi vibes to all who need/want them.
I hope everyone has the best day they can.

    Morning all.

Sorry but I've not kept up with the thread. Still nursing a groggy head so starting to think its my anxiety/stress levels being raised which is causing it. That or a migraine stuck in the aura stage again. I'll get there. Only 1 more early get up then I can relax a bit.

Yesterday was a bust. I couldn't think straight at all so I did some pottering with work related stuff and thats about it. Today I had to be up at 6am to see DD out by 7am as she's off on the annual school trip. [STRIKE]I should be getting a text any time saying that they've left [/STRIKE] Just had a text at 8am to say they're on their way :) Today is the last full day of school, so I'm going to try and use it productively and get stuff done. I need to leave here between 5.30-6pm to collect DD as I'm going to walk the couple of miles to the meeting point. So that gives me 9 hours with a little wiggle room to do everything. I'm going to crank up the music and get it done so next week we can concentrate on working through school papers, running errands, and maybe getting some of the decorating done. ;)

So far today I've made the beds, tidied up the bedrooms, quickly damp mopped the livingroom & kitchen floors to get the worst of the dog hairballs up (I swear this dog should be bald with the amount of hair he's shredding!), had breakfast, put WM on with load 2 now and sorted DD out. :) I'm hoping to be just as productive for the rest of the day and get as much of the washing out on the line for a bit before next door start more building work outside!

Since it's master bedroom today I'm going to whizz around DD's as well. Its quite tidy and she usually does them so I'll do a "mum" clean ;) She's asked if she can clean the brass on the front door but I think I'll do it today if I have the time. I'd rather get everything done and then we can do a jigsaw, play a boardgame or something this weekend again ;) At least there's not going to be a rush to get the uniform washed so thats one thing off the list.

    Summer challenges:
Repaint Livingroom & finish decorating it
Fasten backs on to all the bookcases properly
Decorate kitchen / bathroom (should be able to do these at the same time as its basically painting in both)
    Decorate DD's bedroom
    Decorate my bedroom
    Decorate hall/stairs/landing
Purge DD's school work, file away stuff she no longer needs and put into files stuff she might need during her GCSE's!
    Scan old documents then shred
Put all files back on my computer

Workmen next door have just turned up. Don't know what they're doing today, I just hope it won't make a mess outside while I have my washing out! Think I'll go do some cleaning upstairs while the dog sleeps and the washing machine does the third load. HHC should see the bulk of the dusting in both bedrooms rooms done. Then I need to do a rejig in my room of stuff. :(

I always called it a clothes horse until we bought a trolley.

Congratualtions, Dusty, on your DSs achievements.

Seriously, MrsMP, you've never caught a train before on your own? Great going!

Healing vibes for your DH, MMM.

One of the baby seagulls took flight yesterday down the lane opposite and flew slap bang into a tall metal gate and landed in a heap. He waddled off, I think rather hoping no-one saw it. There are a number of piles of seagull pooh to clear up again or they'll end up all over the carpets.

The dog's shedding his undercoat and no matter how much I run the slicker over him and pull handfulls out, his black hair is everywhere. I'm having to vacuumm pretty much every day just so that we can keep the carpets the beige colour they're supposed to be.

I'm off to buy myself new bras and house trousers to celebrate one year sober in about 10 days time and the loss of a stone. Nothing fits anymore - boo hoo!
    Better is good enough.

HB honestly I haven't, I'd already asked DHs and DD which platform I needed to be on as it's an unmanned station, but still had to ask a guy on the platform, when I got on the train I made someone laugh by checking I wasn't in first class or anything. thankfully it was only two stops away (waved to DD1 as I went by the first station as its near where she works)
And I managed to get home as well.

Concerning news about my neighbour she has fractured her spine, but as yet doesn't know the severity of it. Healing vibes for her please.

Have cut the council shrubs back that are growing up the side of our house wall because they irritate me and the council don't keep them tidy.
Tidied our front garden, got something growing in the back border Dh scared me and said he thinks it's giant hogweed (it does look very similar) it's only appeared this year and is already taller than me but the flowers and leaves don't look quite the same. I think it's a variety of cow parsley but I think it's going to have to come out now.
Two loads of washing on whirley and third load in machine, drive has been tidied and a few things binned, been down shops and bought a get well card and a birthday card and bottle for another neighbour.
And finally got round to making chiropodist appt for me (nothing wrong just a general mot.)
Going to take neighbour birthday bottle round for him now then have a cuppa I think I've earned it.

  • Hi all x

Lazy start for me again today as I'm not long up:o . Ds1 got home last night for titp you should have seen the colour of him, absolutely filthy. Anyway ended up making bacon pieces at midnight because he was starving.

First load on the line and WM reloaded.
I'm going to stick some clothes on and nip to the shop then make a start on the bedroom.
Taking DD to the circus later, so I'm planning an early dinner today.

Lynne I don't know how much help I could be to you as the fifers have a lingo all of their own, never mind I reckon that if you stay another 20yrs there you might crack it :rotfl::rotfl:
