 Healing vibes, CY. Thank goodness for wifi; now you won't feel isolated because you'll be able to keep in touch with us.

Have defluffed floors with a machine so as to make enough noise to distract the dog from barking. He's convinced he has to bark if he hears another dog but doesn't mind the the dy$on at all. All of the previous ones have been deaf so this is a new problem.

I'm really shocked at how hideously unflattering M&S clothes are now. They house trousers I wear have gone down in price and so has the quality to the point that I can't wear them. Very, very disappointing, but rather as expected judging by previous trips where I came away empty-handed. If I'd left it until the date of the soberversary I'd have been really upset to be denied my treat. Looked around for anything else I could buy as a substitute, tried on six different pairs and hated them all. Snazzy new bras fit, though.

Two loads washed and dried but not off the line and folded yet. OH is out tonight, so I'll do it after he's gone and the lodgers have finished in the kitchen.
    Better is good enough.

Glad you're ok CY, make sure you get plenty of rest and are looked after.

No flying for me tomorrow morning as I'm off to the doc, flipping insect bite has made my foot swell to twice its size (so I'll be wearing flip flops then) and I don't know if its to do with the hayfever but I have a constant humming noise going on, driving me mad.

Little things I know but still irritating.

I'm off on holiday next week and I haven't done a thing to prepare. I still need to cancel milk, phone about picking up the keys, pick up OldDogs meds, write lists, go shopping and pack.

    Ah well, never mind.

See you all tomorrow at some point.

    Not a happy bunny

    am sick of the mess

and my mum has been and 'helped' while I wasn't in. And thrown carefully-hoarded 'treasure' for junk modelling and green gang (ie waste plastic) in the bin. I already politely declined her help. I feel that younger, fitter people should be doing more...
my mum has a key to mine so lets herself in as and when. I have a key to hers - but I only go in when I am minding the house. otherwise I knock and wait.

I am at the end of my tether.

However I am not dealing with Lupus, or anything else; so I shall shut up and shove off until I am feeling more myself.

  • Evening all,

CY, look after yourself, and also get others to look after you too. X
Dawn Rose apart from a holiday, I find the best stress reliever is a good brisk walk somewhere with a nice view.

I haven't done too badly today. I've started just doing myself a small list every day then I am not having an epic fail on a regular basis. Am doing the daily essentials (WM, DW, keep work tops and table clean, kitchen and hall floor clean plus swish and swipe sink and bog) plus choosing a couple of the most needed things from the daily lists. It seems to be working. House doesn't look that bad and also I don't feel guilty about not doing enough.

We've all been to the hairdressers together after tea for a trim (except OH who no longer requires the services of a hairdresser :o) so we all look well groomed. Will try to sleep sitting up tonight then it will still look nice tomorrow :)

CY glad you are home and continued healing vibes heading your way.

Valli I'd be livid if anybody wandered into my house, family or not, coping, claming vibes.

I've achieved a fair bit in the garden. Need to get the washing in, do the ironing and make my bed and fine clean linen for DS2 to make his.

Ah valli I once came home to find a new toilet seat in place in my downstairs loo! I rang DH (it was some years ago) and he said he'd not been home and knew nothing. Turns out FIL had been sent with it as MIL didn't like ours  how inappropriate! Must say they are much more moderate these days, or perhaps I'm too busy to notice... Lol.

    Glad you're home CY

dawn I'm not sure I know what relaxing is??? ;)

Well I've decluttered toilettries and been through DD wardrobe and edited loads out. She's all set for summer and her school stuff is neatly in the top of her cupboard. Apart from the grotty bits I'm getting rid of. So the clearance challenge has begun here!

Tomorrow we have ballet, and I need some packed lunch for Saturday and I want some clear exterior sealant and some scrapbooks :)

Good to hear from you CY.

I am feeling a bit out of sorts tonight. Dont know why, no obvious reason for it really.

DS finishes tomorrow until 9th September. Ridiculously long holiday, thank goodness I dont have to pay for childcare any more. All I have to do now is hope that the two of them dont try to murder each other while I am at work.

At least this summer I only have one job to do so hopefully I will have a bit more time to ferry them around.

Right, jim jams on and an early night I think. Just brought the washing in and its really cold out there!
