Valli - there must be something in the air. A neighbour was away and her mum came round and helpfully threw out all the innocent bottles she had carefully saved to turn into shakers for pre school.....
The ironing is still the elephant in the room, but I am ignoring it.
DD2 finishes tomorrow for the holidays. Tonight her throat hurts....
I am not keen on the idea of going to bed. Guess I am scared of potential side effects......:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hi all x
CY glad you're home that was one long shift you've put in at the hospital. Try to take it easy and accept help whenever its offered. Xx
Just in from the circus. It was a great show but the toilets were disgusting. The smell hit you the minute you walked out of the big top and there was at least an inch of urine on the floor. Told DD and her pal to hold it in if they could till we got home so it was a mad bathroom rush when we got back. Totally ruined it for me.
Managed to fix dinner, wash up and dust my bedroom before we left will run the hoover round tomorrow.
Off to jump into my jammies and watch some tv with my knitting before beddy byes.
Night all sleep well xI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Phew, just caught up with last 2 weeks thread. Can't possibly comment on each thing, just good luck, congratulations, welcome back, happy birthday, hugs, spoons and sticks where appropriate!
Had a great time motorbiking in Scotland. Came home a day early to go to friend's funeral. Golly it was a real culture shock from riding round single track roads seeing nobody to driving from Highams Park church to City of London crematorium then to wake at Loughton, all in mid-day/rush hour.
Had 5 enquiries about assessments while I was away, so it is back to work with full steam ahead.
Loads to do in house, can't begin to describe how deep the dead crane flies were on the carpet, how many weeds have grown or how much fruit needs picking. So just as well I've returned to the thread at the end of the week.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Sorry for moaning! But a replaced loo seat - wow!
On a positive note she spotted a cigarette lighter and was straight onto DS about that! I knew she'd be furious!
Probably feeling it as it's almost the end of term.
we have another full week though Friday is inset.
Sex ed with y6 was interesting on Wednesday. Not least because I had the boys while the nurse told the girls about aunt flo. She had forgotten to bring the work sheets. They had to do a poster about changes. With illustrations. A couple of the male teachers thought it hysterical I had carefully stashed these in my bag. Given the illustrations were VERY graphic there was no way I was leaving the lying around!

HI all - up late as I had to finish the book I borrowed from DS!!
Replace the loo seat - well that made me smile - but tBH I'd love someone to sneek in and replace ours!! Not made any more and the only one I can find that would fit is hand made and over £300!!! A new loo would be cheaper!!
Thanks Lynne feeling a little better and need to get my b... into gear today and catch up!
Have read back and as usual it is in one eye.... so hugs sticks and spoons where needed and hope you managed to rest CY.
Won't post a list as it'll take u a whole page so I'll say bye for now and catch up later. xJuly 16 £95/£200

Morning all
It poured and poured here last night so I'm glad I had finished my planting out, shame I had already watered them in.
Today I'm doing the annual hedge cutting next door with another neighbour's son. One of my least favourite jobs but I'll enjoy looking at it once it's done and maybe inspired to finish doing mine.
For now another cup of tea and shower, the WM is already on as warm and breezy here now.
Have a good day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just heard that I didn't get the job. Not surprised. Drinking Pepsi Max at 0800. Not good. On the plus side, I am two months sober today. And there will be other jobs. I'm off for a massage as a treat this afternoon. Pity DH is working long shifts all weekend and then nights. Would have been nice to celebrate together.
Glad to hear Ronnie is better LW
Hope yesterday wasn't too tiring CY
Congrats HoneyBear
(((hugs))) for anyone in need. I think I may need to keep my spoons today.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Morning allAll her school stuff is packed away - nicki ours are off till 9th and DD finished yesterday so eight blimmin weeks for her! 7.5 for DS, who finishes tomorrow. She doesn't need any more uniform - just a cardi with the logo which is already ordered. And shoes. Her shoes are minging!
There's 4 days of various stages of inset for mine: 1st Sept school closed to all pupils, 2nd Year 13 in the PM only, 3rd Year 12 group A in the PM only, and 4th Year 7 all day induction and Year 12 group B in the PM only. Then the weekend & DD starts on the Monday. I'm wondering whether we'll be able to access her timetable online during those inset days  DD needs new everything except packed lunch box/water bottle, school bags, PE pants, and jumper. I think I'll get away with her current "fat day" uniform trousers but I'll buy her a pair in the next size down and she's asked for a school skirt & tights which is a trip to M&S to get one long enough! This is the penultimate back to school shop I have to do for uniform which is just daft as I only brought her home as a new born last week

I managed to clean the outside of our upstairs windows yesterday afternoon. Took ages as they haven't been done for a while
Discovered DD's bedroom window is chipped on the outside, I'm not really surprised though as there's a collection of stones that have obviously been thrown sitting on the extensions roof.
The rain held off, so I walked to meet DD. They were running late as they hit traffic so it was nearly 8pm before we headed back. We walked home and only 2 buses went past us but DD was that busy telling me about all the rides etc that she didn't even notice. Then it was more or less straight to bed after eating as we were both tired.
Not sure what to do with myself this morning. I could do my tax return etc, finish cleaning, or finish watching something online. I'm thinking the latter while I dust the livingroom, but first another coffee
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
