SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

Phew! Kids are goosed...
I second that! Both DDs been exhausted for about two weeks, but by the time I picked them up today they were at a different level...dd1 especially, she was crying and her teacher said she had been very emotional all day - it is a small school and she just can't cope with the fact that the year 6 pupils are leaving, and also she is moving to a new class next year. I have prescribed a lazy day for them tomorrow. I am not at work until Thursday now, Yaaaay.
FBO and dawn, the right job will come along, and well done on the two months FBO.
CY hope you are feeling better x
Today I have done:
Daily stuff
Cleared hotspot in our bedroom
Dusted our bedroom
Cleared floor in children's room - deserve medal for that one
Hoovered said floor
Plan for the weekend is to just do daily stuff in the house and focus on the garden.
Have a good evening x0 -
Hi all x
I'm just in from the paid stuff. I had left a note asking either OH, DS1 or DS2 to bring the washing in, did they do it? Nope I had to do it when I got home its now soaked
Anyway jammies and some knitting with fast 5 now.
I'm going to tackle DD and DS2s bedrooms tomorrow. They are helping they just don't know it yet;)
Night all sleep well xI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Busy last day at work yesterday, but I still managed to get the most urgent things done. Early start today, but it was nice and relaxed. DS1 set off on time and I went to watch DS2 in the Y6 play. He still has a week of school left. Topped it off by meeting with friends/former colleagues this afternoon and pizza with DS2. I WILL have an early night tonight.
handwash a couple more items - still to do
re-home laundry - almost done
marking - still to do
Wonderbra Wednesday! - Living room, hall, stairs
Vaccuum your floors
Clear and wipe down the mantle
Thankful Thursday! - Master Bedroom
Strip the bed
Declutter a hotspot
Thank Crunchie it's Friday - room of your choice!
Hoover visible floors upstairs
Plan next week0 -

Morning All
Well I have now finished for 7 weeks so I should be around a lot more. DH and DS have gone off to Fairford Air Show so I'm at home with DD and the dog. I'm not sure what we are going to do today - it would be nice to do something with DD but I know the only thing she'll come up with is shopping! I might suggest we sort her clothes out and then make a list of what she needs or I may leave that for another day. That may sort some of her BR out as well as it is a pigsty! However, I'd like to do something a bit more fun.
CY - hope you're feeling better and the nausea passes soon.
FBO - you're doing great!
Have a good day all
Hugs

This would happen in my house too. However last night they brought the washing in because they wanted to play cricket. DS doesnt like bringing the washing in and I have worked out that this is because he isnt keen on getting my clean undies off the line. Apparently getting that close to your Mum's undies is a bit too much when you are a 16 yo lad!!!
Awake early. I am on a mission to get stuff done this weekend before we go on holiday next Friday and I am hoping I can get everyone else on board. We were going to have a bbq to use up some stuff in the freezer but met office say it will only be 15 degrees later! Great british summer.
Right, onwards and upwards!0 -
Morning all x
I've been up for the past hour getting DS1 ready to go to Southsea. That's him off goodness knows when he's back.
Today's plan of attack is the bedrooms but that will need to wait till DS2 and DD are up.
Think I will finish my tea and then square up the LR and Scullery.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Morning flyladies.
Well I have already gone off my list for today. Decided to have a sort out of the kitchen cupboards and food store cupboard. We really don't need so much of everything now that DD has left home and I don't really want to survive any major disaster (see SHTF thread).
So Xmas pud can stay in store cupboard but all the non-alcoholic beer that DH will never drink has gone. And I don't need any chocolate things in the house now DD has left.
Right, must finish this cuppa and carry on.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
First wash of the day is on the line, DW emptied, WM back on.
Bit earachy today so taking it easyish. First job is to ring the tax office and second is to give the bathroom a quick clean, anything on top of that will be a bonus. Will probably spend some of the afternoon at the cricket.
Have a good day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
