I really want to join in this coming week, if I can please? Moved house last month and we're still in utter chaos. My "to do" list is huge and it feels overwhelming... I'm getting a bit down over it. Been reading/lurking this week but motivated to make a start now0

Morning all
Woken up at 4.00 by the rain - next door's gutter overflows onto their conservatory roof
But at least I managed to weed the back garden yesterday evening, and now it's had a bit of a soaking :T Today I hope to get some more plants set out, thereby clearing one corner of the front yard which is full of pots yet again - my weaknessIf it doesn't rain, we might even get the pump for the little fountain set up in the raised bed, then I can finally plant up the rockery.
I have been trying to work out what to do about my mobile, but I find all the different tariffs and phones very confusing. I think I might just go back to a "Granny-in-a-glove-box" type with the cheapest possible PAYG. I don't give out my mobile number to many people, I get very few calls or texts, and I can't see the point of paying for a load of data that I don't need to use. If we're travelling, I can use free WiFi to read my email on my K1ndl€, or borrow DH's tablet which works off his mobile network. Anybody else reverting to old-style technology? Any advice?
This morning I need to go and feed Doris and Marigold (DS1's hens) before church. Yesterday they gave us two lovely eggs which we shall eat boiled for our breakfast.0 -
Morning all
Enjoying the peace and quiet atm whilst everybody else is asleep. I've had a cuppa and emptied the DW.
DH took the carpet up in DS3's room yesterday ready for new carpet on Friday and needs to do DS1's today. I plan a good sort and dust next Saturday when everything gets put back.
DS2 playing cricket again today, DS3 may go up there too.
I must do a main food shop, clean the bathroom and do the ironing as priorities today and finish the paperwork on the kitchen table. Also must see about visiting my mother, best get moving then. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning everyone!
Welcome Dizzy Imp - we are a friendly bunch - you'll get to know us soon. Just jump in wherever you need to and remember that you don't have to do all the levels every day!
Iona- I have never left the granny-in-a-glovebox style of phone!! I do need a new - one I think - but will probably replace with cheapest PAYG I can find. I too cannot make head nor tail of the tariffs and as I only send texts to my ndn, DS and DS GF there's no need for anything fancy!
CY hope you are feeling less ugh today?
Today I am dressing up as a Victorian to advertise the museum during Tram Sunday - hoping the weather stays fine as it has poured overnight! It's a good job we also mowed the grass and did lots of weeding yesterday.
Hope to do more gardening this afternoon. Have a good day everyone.xxJuly 16 £95/£200

Mornng everyone.
Well after having good intentions this week I haven't been on since Wednesday! In all fairness it has been a manc week and life had just got in the way.
We went to a lovely wedding last night so I had a lie in until 8.30 and sat and fav my breakfast in peace (kiddies are still at nannies and hubby is still in bed (he had rather a lot to drink!))
So, we moved house last month and we found out some other shocking news the same week. I'm pregnant!! which explains why I had being feeling so rubbish and exhausted! It was a bit of a shock as we never planned to have any more but had the scan on Friday and feeling a little more positive about it.
School and work has finished now so hoping I can crack n and turn m lovely big house into a home and there is still so much to do. I will be logging on every day to post and update my list- that's my summer challenge! As well as decorating at least two bedrooms!

Huge congratulations Frizzle! Another Flybaby on the way, good-oh.
Dizzy, don't feel too overwhelmed; it takes months to get yourself properly straight in a new place and that's if you have loads of time. If you can get one area of one room exactly as you want it so that you can relax there, you can then work outwards until, like a rising tide, everything eventually falls into place.
I've washed the kitchen floor. I think I need a bit of a lie down.Better is good enough.0 -
Congratulations Frizzle!
Woken up to rain. though, apparently, it's due to brighten - but I spent and hour and a half in the garden yesterday, strimmed and cut the lawn, and tidied the paving (was going to put weeded but there are still some) and, mainly, gave it all a good sweep. The rain is exactly what is needed as the garden is so dry! I have also been undertaking mini recon missions into DS's room, I have shredded paperwork he seems incapable of shifting and which he has been carting back and forth for a year or more, in the hope that, if it is not so overwhelming he can get stuff dealt with - and, I hope, thrown.
Enjoy your lie down Honey Bear - is it exhaustion or shock? :rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Congratulations Frizzle.
I've cleaned the bathroom and bunged all the lose stuff into bags/boxes inDS1's room and DH has started to lift his carpet.
Flying feels a slog today. Going to have a cuppa then do the shower room. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Ronnie's gone home now, so I need to throw the Dys0n round - there are biscuit crumbs all over the place, as he never eats a biscuit in the same place twice.:D Mr LW has pushed off to the PYO for raspberries - he did ask if I wanted to go with him, but it's quicker if he goes on his own, as then he doesn't have to lug my wheelchair about. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
