Ah, now I thought a rack was what Grannie put her washing on and pulled up to the ceiling (so to speak), whilst the rest went on the maiden next to the fire. That was in Lancashire
Chucking some spoons your way LW.
I came to a sobering conclusion on Monday evening, when I had intended to at least show the bathroom sink a cloth. By the time I had left work at 4.45 pm - not bad, collected my click and collect groceries, unloaded them, put them away, emptied the WM and the DW and refilled, made some dinner, cleared away, fed the dogs, cleared up after them, made my sandwiches, generally tidied away various bits and pieces, and done an HHI, it was 9.15 pm, and I really hadn't stopped, and couldn't . I don't think I am doing unnecessary chores (not doubt some would feel the ironing was!) but all I achieved was most of the dailies.
Last night I mainly concentrated on making a salad to take to a BBQ, making a cake or three and dealing with the DW, WM and the dogs.
Apparently I need to help move a tree trunk tonight, and after that, I guess I will just have to be content with achieving my dailies.Work is not my Hobby0 -
Been to a playgroup with DD2 and DGS for most of the day, I caught a train by myself and everything. ( it's rather embarrassing that I've reached the age I have and never done that before) I've lead a very sheltered life.
Rather worried about one of my neighbours an ambulance pulled up outside her house this morning followed by her grown up children rushing in, they were all still their 45 mins later when I left out, but I've been told by another neighbour she took a fall out of her attic. I really hope she isn't seriously hurt she is such a lovely person.SPC~12 ot 124

Paid stuff done for the week now and the rain has stopped and it's brightening up, happy day.
Going to bung the chock in the aga, made a brew and do an hour in the garden before the grotty one gets home from school. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
You have me thinking funfairprincess and I was wondering whether Grannie might have called it a pulley-rack now.
In the meantime I looked it up to see if I could remind myself, and found a site calling a Pulley Clothes Airer Maid Laundry Dryer Rack.:rotfl:
I am writing my daily lists for the rest of the week whilst waiting for my meeting to start.Work is not my Hobby0 -
I've got to nip up in our attic now and get some stuff down for the weekend. So going to do an HHC up their searching.
DS2 has come home from work experience so he's going to help me.
DH has just rung, tooth he cracked the filling on now has an access so he's on ABs and has an appt to have the tooth removed in a couple of weeks as that is now the only option. Going to be a nasty one I think as the next tooth is at an angle so dentist is seeking a second opinion on the way to do it. Deep joy!
FFP have spoken to another neighbour she's being kept in for obs but initial hope is she is just badly bruised. So thankful and hope that is the case.SPC~12 ot 124

Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Aww bossy, that's a big step for a little girl to take, have a lovely summer with your LOs they grow so fast. I'm certain she'll love big school and make lots of new friends.
Been in attic culled a load of stuff so now bagging for recycng or CS, then realised case is in the spare bedroom!
BTW, nice neighbour's attic ladder collapsed on them, ironically it was due to be replaced at the weekend so if anyone has a rickety pair of steps they have been meaning to replace PLEASE DO IT SOON!!!! I don't want anymore of my friends getting hurt (or worse!)SPC~12 ot 124
