  • Hi all,

I had my ear operation this week so still on bed rest for a few weeks. Won't know if it was successful for a few months when hearing settles down. I'm bored out of my brains and I'm only 3 days in.

Not much money stuff to report apart from a lot of spending prior to surgery. Had a hair cut, very drastic so my long hair is now a very short style. We eaten out a lot last weekend as the op usually affects taste and can be permanent or last a few months. So I made sure I had all my favourite tasting takeaways.

We are completely wiped out of spends but as I won't be commuting to work for awhile hopefully less diesel expenditure should help.

I did manage to call mortgage company today.

    Balance is now £136708.21
and I'm due £706 tax refund from hmrc so can't wait to get below £136k.....so so so close

Well done to ATB for making fab progress xx

  • Thanks LIL! How's the house coming along?
Yesterday was a good money day
Nsd as I'm still bed bound but I also received a cheque for £216 from my sentinel gold claim. Was taxed 20% which I think is rubbish as I paid the premiums pit of wages post tax each year.
Still a great surprise and I had some flowers delivered from work which was lovely and cheered me up xx
