Hi PolishBigSpender,
IT is available for non-UK customers. You can check what currencies we support and their current rates here: https://revolut.com/savings.PolishBigSpender wrote: »Out of curiosity, is this available for non-UK customers?
It would certainly be very useful for me to hold a EUR account that could be used for HUF/CZK/HRK transactions at the interbank rate. I can transfer from my own Polish-based EUR account to any other EUR account free of charge via SEPA, and I can obtain Euro for a tiny margin (within 0.20% of the interbank rate). But...I'm not UK resident.“Official Company Representative

Currently touring France - Tolls, bars & supermarkets no issues . Touring with another family swapping money never been easier. Fantastic exchange rates - no issues - as they say does what it says on the tin0

Looking good so far here too. Sadly I forgot to use MSE when I registered to get my free £5, but that aside managed to get a card in 2 days by asking for emergency card, topups from debit card and bank transfer really quick, and instant notification of a payment (how much and where) when I first used the card.
One question, apart from how do I get my free £5, is should I exchange the money to $ before I go to the USA or just rely on conversion rates whilst I'm there, or doesn't it really matter?0 -
Disappointed so far
The card took about 2 weeks to arrive
I have tried the "Verify ID" service several times and there is never anyone on support to tell me if the verification info has even arrived.
Good idea to have support within the app, but you should be able to email as well
If they don't sort this out soon I will have to abandon this as a failed experiment0 -
Hi rnlg,
Please contact us through the in-App support chat and we'll sort your £5 out
As for exchanging you don't have to worry about it, the card automatically converts to the local currency whether that be US$ or Thai Baht using the spot interbank rate so you don't have to do anything. We allow people to exchange at their leisure in case an individual feels the exchange rate is particularly good at a given moment and wants to lock in that exchange rate.Looking good so far here too. I guess I will have to get over my discomfort about having my personal biometrics in the hands of a non-government body if I want to make use of your service fully.
Can a top up be made from the debit card or bank account of another person, or only from one's own? (There is someone wondering how to receive his pay in Euros, in another thread.)Evolution, not revolution0 -
Hi eDicky,
If they tap 'Top Up' then tap the top menu 'Top up by Card' they will see another option 'Top up via Transfer', if they tap that they will see the necessary information to top up Revolut via a bank transfer including an 8-digit reference number that is unique to the user. Consequently anybody can top up a Revolut account using this Reference. Please note, when making the transfer only enter the 8-digit number into the reference field and nothing else.
You cannot top up with the debit card of another person as we run Address Verification System checks which will decline a top up if the Revolut address and the billing address of the card do not match. Thanks for this reassurance - I'll take your word on it, there being so many witnesses..!
