Hi. I am not so clued up as you but I belive if you are still in the employment then there is a fee for proper face to face mediation I thought the course was fantastic. We argued over ownership of an orange. :rotfl: I wanted to win. They do offer mediation of sorts if you are intending to bring a claim but in my case it was just a few emails.and resolved by me as boss would not respond I got a certificate at the end proving I have gone down the right route

mediation is underrated. you've done so well. 61:eek: I had no idea :p

You are right henlans, I fear that the poor will just get poorer and poorer under the tories.

However, the Elite have the knowledge and sense of charity to do a little something about it and help the foodbanks and the homeless hostels.

Just think, a little bit of effort and we could do a 10 Udi, 10 Tob & 12 Muller A v W cc or hd, make a profit and give it all away.

On a different shop we could do a 10 Udi & 40 x Baxters (10 of each flavour) DeeDee snackpots, again make a profit A v T and give it all away.

And we could even do a Garnier shampoo shop A v M, make a profit and give it all away.

We can all do it and it won't cost us a bean. Let's all try, shall we?

I'm really sorry and I will make myself very unpopular :o

But why is this a good thing? isn't it justifying helping yourself by helping other people? if you are that concerned then donate your profits to these charities??

I'm very uncomfortable with making money out of others misery :(

You....and others here think it ok to line your own pockets?
I got it as you DONATE.......donate your profits? I don't somehow think any of you will :(

yes we can all make someone happy by donating udis and toblerones, but we won't give anything of our own lives up :(

it's rubbish. that we all subscribe to.

I jumped out of a plane at 35,000 feet last week......but I didn't get a discount on anything and it's the 8th time I've did it. I've raised money for charity every time. and ill continue to do so without needing praise on here.

I did it because the place I work for needs funds and I got them.

Don't care how much I'm hated and called a racist :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes ....a racist because I had a joke with my Scottish friends :(I'd be willing to bet the person who reported me as racist isn't Scottish and has never had a Scottish friend .

we have a far superior sense of humour :D

enough ranting for one night :o some people really do need to get a life.

How can someone who is Scottish (through and through) be being racist against Scottish people

Well done FC on your fund raising, a lot more people could could try their hand at that. Gives much more satisfaction than lining your pockets with uni apg and giving u dis to food bank.

I agree wholeheartedly with your post.

Just got home and going to bed, not had much of a connection where I have been.

Thanks Deedee for the new thread

ETA. FC I hope things are better for you just now, in a better place. By the way how is your knee?
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

    Good evening everyone
I need some Elite advice regarding a work situation, I have spoken to ACAS and they have advised me to take my boss to court , but I do not want to go down that route as I know my boss is between a rock and a hard place. His wife and step daughter both suffer from depression and are both on the same medication
We work in the accountancy industry, me 30 odd years my boss over 40 years, my boss took on his step daughter because she could not find any other work, for the last four years ,we have tried teaching her but she plays on her depression , believe me she is not daft or uneducated, it has now gotten to a point where I am totally running the practice on my own, while I see each day his step daughter totally taking the Mick out of my boss and her mother, I have brought this to the attention of my boss but he has been told by his step daughter and her mother it is a conflict of personalities, which it is not at all, my boss has threatened me that if we do not get along then he will close the business and I will be out of a job but he still wants me to teach his step daughter, this is now effecting my health as I am so stressed and my hair is falling out , I have shorten the situation because if I write everything that has been going on we will still here in a couple of months My oh has said look for another job but when you get to my age jobs are few and far between I need help but do not know where turn
Sorry for bring the thread down

Sorry vouchercrazy about your situation. You say you dont want to 'fight' is court and ''flight' is not an option. So is there anyway you can look at the job without the emotion? Go in do your hours whatever's in your job description. You might just be a calming influence on her. If things are so bad gather your evidence and leave. Sorry

FC - I really don't get your apparent anger at people making donations to food banks of their spoils? Yes, it would be nice if they donated their time and effort as well but any donation surely is welcome - especially if they donate via Tesco who give an additional 30% to the food banks.

Maybe others don't have the time, energy or money to do more but feel they are doing their bit by at least donating something. Why isn't their mite as good as anyone else's? If the supermarkets pay for this so that it can be done by any one of us isn't any donation as good as any other?

I don't like to beat my own trumpet but in the past I've organised many, many events free of charge with all proceeds going to charity. It's taken a LOT of my time and effort but as I enjoyed organising it also gave me a lot of pleasure to do this. I no longer have the time, energy or health to keep repeating this so my bit now is also donating my glitch shops. Not very many glitch shops now because of the above problems but I feel at least it's something, rather than nothing.

I know many wouldn't feel happy organising big events or even jumping out of planes but if donating to foodbanks makes people feel like they are at least trying to do their bit then good on them!

Morning everyone! Got a busy day as DD's Birthday today. She will be coming over later - so hopefully we can have lunch out somewhere nice as her I suspect her OH has made plans for the evening.

Planning a visit to my new As for some more mullers but after all the help fellow elitists gave me yesterday I discovered CC/HD will not start until next week at my store.

Off for a Coffee and skim read now.

Oh Mrs Mac I tbink you have been ver lucky and have landed on your feet. I guess your also a bit feisty when pushed :p which is no bad way to be :D

I'm a bit further down the line with an employer who (has quite rightly) found they can't employ the employee anymore
What I'm trying to achieve is that these employes don't employ these people if they can't sustain them. plodding ;)

It is difficult to get a balance

A few year ago we were approached by two different associations to help folk with disabilities back into work or even just work experience Sadly despite all our best efforts we could not sustain the trials we were not the right type of business Fast food

My young cousin has 1 day a week in small family cafe. She has Downs syndrome and it a real paid job for her but I doubt they could sustain her with full time work
