    I've been Money Tipped!
4/5 and 617 - just to the right of good, edging towards excellent.

do you get a number on your statutory credit report from Equifax or experian, or is that only for the paid/free trial members?

Your credit score: [insert meaningless number here]

    What's impacting your score?

Now that you’ve seen your latest credit score you might be wondering what things are affecting it and how you can improve your score. If so, you might be interested in Noddle Improve.

Noddle Improve is just £30 a year :rotfl:

Just another marketing ploy to get you to buy another pointless product.

No, the statutory report just has the raw data, no handy-dandy "score". That's why getting a made-up number for free is so darn exciting :T

I do like the way the CRA try to get you to buy in to a service to 'Improve your score'. How is that even possible in a practical or useful way? The information is either correct or it isn't; if there are errors then they can and should be corrected free of charge.

They are then effectively charging you for the privilege of advertising credit products which they think will improve the score they assign to you; they are also being paid for the advertising so effectively they get paid twice. They can't increase my salary to the point where I become eligible for the Amex Black card or anything like that and as lenders only see my raw data I am in their hands not the CRA.

Much of this seems to stem from the USA where their FICO scores do seem to carry more weight.

I guess the score will be useful in tracking month-on-month improvement.

    Hi, What's Noodle?

A Noodle is a long thin strip of dough...commonly boiled and eaten with lots more noodles and with a sauce.

Noddle however is a credit reporting service from Callcredit where you can see your credit history as reported by Callcredit as often as you like. It's free...but they'll try and sell you stuff which any savvy moneysaver will ignore.

And my score....3/5 - 592 - Fair. How can I be fair? Got lots of credit all paid on time only using half my available limit. Should be more.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Thanks Happy. So in other words, compare them with the other 2 big boys. They all try to flog the costly version, so, they aren't any different.Might give it a try, got experians, to compareI'm not bothered about my score, just checking nothing is there that shouldn't be, or, vice versa. Is there any hidden tick boxes to beware of, so I don't sign up for paid version? Usually is.:-)
70 + years, and doing my first, after doing umpteen for kids/grandkids to sort their debts out..
UPDATE;;Just set both mine and wifes on Noddle. Fine. 5/5 for me. excelent
4/5 for wife , good to excelent.
Good for free, everything that is in Experian that I've just paid £2 each.and less hassle, ( so far).No snailmail for key etc.
    Cheers HappyM.
