Nationwide - Refer a Friend

Hey everyone,
sorry for the old and probably stupid question but is it possible for me to refer myself and my girlfriend as a joint account and receive the incentive? Or are offers like this considered only on an 'individual' basis so not applicable to joint accounts?
Thanks0 -

We both have sole accounts with Nationwide, I referred her in, I think I received a different switch incentive when I joined. I assume this means we can't receive a referral with a joint account?0 -

yes I've read these and came to the conclusion it was possible, yet at the beginning of this thread there are several reports how it didn't work. It was a long time ago though so was looking for those who know clearly, whereas I do not0 -
Am I imagining things or has the condition that the person being recommended must switch within 90 days of being recommended only just been added to the RAF T&C as don't recall this when I was going through the process a couple of weeks back. I assume that if the 90 day period is going to run out before your friend is ready you can just renew it by filling out the form again and submitting (though not checked this with NW).
Got here via Mr Google after having exactly the same reaction to seeing the 90 days condition. I'd assume a) a referral made before the change should still stand, b) probably less hassle to play safe by re-referring.0 -
Last week I opened a donor account in order to "switch" to Nationwide. But I've just started filling in the Nationwide application form and it asks what date I opened the account I am switching from  Do I need to wait a while before I apply to switch?0

It doesn't have to be a problem but 'mature' accounts might be preferable.
Don't forget you need to have a minimum of two direct debits set up on the account being switched from, to qualify for the offer.0 -
You also normally need the debit card to apply for a switch.0
