This is the first time I have switched an account since the 7 day service was brought in, and I am a bit confused. Nationwide are asking for my debit card number to transfer reccurring payments. I have never used this debit card and right now I cannot find it. The only way I can continue is to tick the box that says I don't have one and then I get a message warning that if this is incorrect the switch may not be successful.

Does anyone know what would happen if I continue? My worst case scenario would be that the switch is successful but delayed and I miss the deadline.

Be like me and ask your existing bank for a debit card and then do the switch. Obviously do not tell them what you are planning.

My husbands switch completed on 20th July to our existing joint account we hold but we haven't received our £200 as yet. I was expecting it by tomorrow so I will give them a call then to see whether it is due. It would be interesting to hear what MABLE & irms switch dates were.

Does anyone have a copy saved of the RAF terms and conditions that were in force during July before they were amended on 3rd August?

Did you get the 4x £100 entries all on the same day?
I've just checked the joint account and have only got 2x £100 - was expecting £400 as we both referred each other and switched sole accounts from elsewhere into the Nationwide joint account.

    Yes.

Yep, all four appeared today (the 19th). Interestingly three (not four) letters also arrived by post (dated the 17th) confirming the switch payment.

We have a joint FlexPlus, but the switches were done into our sole FlexDirects, which isn't quite the example they give in the FAQ about referring the other account holder, but I guess it still works. We switched into the sole accounts because the online form if initiated from the joint account seems to assume you're switching a joint account, which isn't the case (if going for the full £400 anyway).

I've another referred friend due to complete his switch any day now, so hopefully that'll bag another £100 in September.

Edit: and just for clarity, it was 2x £100 paid into the joint account, and 1x £100 each into the sole accounts.

Correct and mine was not complete until August 6th so will receive another £100 next month.
