Nationwide - Refer a Friend

So can this Refer a Friend not be used in conjunction with TCB £78.750
-
I was referred a couple of days ago and applied today via TCB, so I will wait and see what happens. I know that other people in the past have received both incentives. I'm planning to keep the account for the 5% interest and I already have savings and ISA accounts with NW. I switched my FlexAccount to Yorkshire which left me struggling to move money into my Santander 123 account, as a cheque took 5 days to clear.0

Got referred by a friend and applied today from an account.
"Thanks for applying for a FlexAccount with us today.
We're just checking your application to see if we can open an account for you. We'll be in touch within the next 5 working days to let you know whether we need further information or if we can continue with your account opening."
Does everyone get this?? what does it mean? Are they going to ring? Not at home this week I'm afraid.0 -
I've had that response to one of my applications - but I got the same form in the post for a signature in a few days as I did with the accounts which were approved straightaway.
N/W never rang me0 -
How long does it take for the RAF email to come through. Need to open an account for OH and only got 2 days left :eek:0
-
The email comes through between 1-2 days
Your referral has to be before 31 July... the OH has until 31 Aug to open and transfer an account0 -

If you complete the form online I seem to remember they quote "within 24 hours" on the confirmation screen.0 -
This may be of interest... https://twitter.com/billbennett/status/621650595087298560
@AskNationwide If I recommend Mr & Mrs X, they switch their sole a/cs to you, can I then refer them again for their joint a/c for 3rd bonus?
@billbennett Thanks for your tweet Bill, you'll be pleased to know that there is no limitation on thisGeorgina
Which tends to imply you can refer two people and get three bonuses, if they switch their sole and joint accounts.0 -
This has been my experience when the offer was £50 each. I think that the £100 each version would be treated as the same offer so if you've previously been referred under the £50 each offer they wouldn't pay out again under this one but I wonder what they'd do if the first person recommended you before 1st July (and you haven't yet switched) and then another recommended you after 1st July but before 31st July and you then switch. Would they pay £50 each or £100 each? The terms are completely useless as they don't cover any of this.
Slightly more clarity on the above now. The Nationwide "share £200" offer is now extended indefinitely for recommendations made after 1st August. The terms have also been amended to state that a person can only be recommended once in any 12 month period starting from the date of their first qualifying RAF switch into Nationwide:
Condition 10: If you have been recommended by a friend you will only be entitled to one payment under this offer in any 12 month period which starts when your first switch to us completes. This means that if you switch any additional accounts to us in that 12 month period no further payments will be made. The amount of the payment will depend on the offer applying at the time of the recommendation to us and completion of the switch.
The FAQs also now state that:
Customers that have previously been referred by their friends between 1 July 2015 and 31 July 2015 can still complete a qualifying account switch after 31 August to receive the £100 increased value. Customers that have been referred by their friends before 1 July 2015 that then complete a qualifying account switch will receive the £50 standard value unless another recommendation is made. The latter suggests that the first recommendation under the "share £100" offer would then be void (unlike what Nationwide stated earlier where they said that the first recommendation would be the one that qualifies).0
