Hello everyone. I have a question. So, this colleague of mine referred me to Nationwide in July. I started the application at the end of the month, while setting up dds on my donor account, and my NW account has just been open. The only problem is, when he referred me he gave them my working email, and I used my personal email when applying for the account instead. Now, does anyone know when is it then Nationwide will match my details against their RAF database? Is it now too late to change my email address in my account details, before I start the switch? Have they already checked wether I had been referred or they will do it only after I start the switch? Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer to this sorry, but would be interested to find out.

Anyone who has done this RAF thing before, is there an average timescale to receive the payments, or can it just be any time up to the 20th of the following month?

My last 7 or 8 referral payments (both as referrer and referee) have always been made between the 16th and 18th of the month following switch completion.

Do I understand the T&C correctly and the conditions refer to a switch and not the opening of a new account?

I already hold a FlexDirect (opened earlier this year). Never switched anything into this account.

If my OH (also holding a FlexDirect) refers me, and I switch an outside account into my existing FlexDirect account, will we be eligible for the incentive?

I can't see anything in the T&C saying otherwise, but has anyone had any success with this? Or would it be safer to simply apply for a new account and switch into that instead?

Yes it says in the Refer a Friend FAQs that existing Nationwide customers are eligible if they switch an account into it after being referred. You could also refer the person that referred you (OH) and if they complete a switch you'd get a second £200 between you.

Unless you want to try for the cashback too (TCB/Q), then you would have to open another account as well as switch.
