Summer attire

31, 5'10, not much hair on my head, through baldness, so shave the rest, stubble beard. Caucasian male. 34" waste, not muscular, just average.
Normal clothes were trainers, jeans, t-shirt (mostly have some picture on them, quirky), jumper (most of which have a hood). started moving away from hoods and more into the wool type jumpers.
Feel now that im at the age where I should look a bit smarter day to day and as I need some summer clothes it is a good time to start.
I agree now is a good age to smarten up. Scruffy is harder to pull off past your mid to late 20s, I think 30ish is around the time when many of us realise we can't rely on our natural, youthful good looks anymore! My husband is a little older and a little taller than you, similar build otherwise, but was fairly similar in style and has now decided to go for the smarter look. The fruits of this are more in work than casual, but he does look good. For casual, he tends to wear knee length slim shorts and short sleeved check shirts. Are your shins really that unshowable? Most people are not going to be paying them that much attention.
For blokes about your age and going for the look you're after, I like the Hammond and Co range at Debenhams for key pieces. Can be a bit sloaney but they have some lovely stuff. And H&M for a bit of fun!NotRichAtAll wrote: »There is a guy in my local town wears shorts and he has a false leg, its one of these new almost terminator looking things no one really
To be fair though, that's awesome. If anyone stopped to look, they'd surely be impressed.0 -
Cargo shorts and a surfing/skater t-shirt, sorted.0

Also top half tucked in or out?
Im thinking to go and pick out a few shirts next time I get to some shops!!
If you are short in the leg and long in the body, you would be better wearing the top half tucked in. A long top which is not tucked in draws more attention to the bottom half being short. The top being tucked in will make your legs look longer.Make £2026 in 2026

Sarongs are actually pretty comfortable in hot weather. Perhaps not really advisable in an area where normal male attire is sourced from Sports Direct's bargain rail though.0 -
Also what are peoples opinions on the bald head longer facial hair look?
like this (picture isnt me by the way)

Personally, I don't like beards at all.

Fat Face do some really nice casual but not scruffy knee length shorts in lots of colours. Plus as well as t-shirt and polo shirts, they also do nice casual short sleeved shirts. I think a lot of my OH's summer wardrobe is from there. He also has lightweight 3/4 combats and long denim shorts that he wears with flip flops and canvass shoes and those short trainers socks.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

I like beards, but not long ones. Definately dont like beards to be longer than the hair on the top of the head.
