Which suggests that the mileage had a minimal effect on value. They were competing with anothe Vauxhall dealer 25 miles away, who had an identical car for same advertised price with only 7k miles.
You believed the advert over the odometer display in front of your eyes whilst test-driving the car?0 -

So whether its 7000 miles or 11000 miles the cars are sold for the same price but you think 2000 miles is worth hundreds?
Check the price guides you will find its between £30 and £40 per 1000 miles.
They wont care what garage x,y and z down the road are selling the car for they have price guides and will list the car for that figure unless its in better than average condition or demand is currently high for that model and they think someone will pay over the odds for some reason.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The Cascada will drop money like a pianio falling off a cliff.
The car probably had 11,000 miles when it came into stock, but with testdrives, staff use and moving it around the country to other dealers the mileage will build up.
I remember we had a 3 year old BMW 528i that we did a few thousand miles in and kept having to amend our adverts.
you sure it doesnt have bluetooth? I've just built one on the VX site and its standard on both the SE and Elite.0 -
Why didn't you buy the other identical car, with lower mileage for the same price?0

Ops perfectly entitled to rely on factual statements made in writing by the selling dealer when making buying decisions. Not every statement made has to be individually verified by the buyer. Prudent maybe, but certainly not a must.0

The facts were probably correct when the advert was placed, They just failed to update it after every test drive and additional usage.
The mileage on the dash on your test drive will have been what you should have gone by. Its not worth hundreds so the mileage is a non issue.
If it doesnt have bluetooth then thats another issue that you may get somewhere with.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I would agree. Obsessing on something like this could ruin your experience of a new car.
As you say, i'd be querying the bluetooth though.0
