Hi, thanks for the tips! I phoned easyjet yesterday and got a refund voucher for £132 but today i've noticed that the flights have gone even cheaper. Can I phone again?
  • I've been on hold now with Eastjet getting a refund for over 17 mins. Must be their way of recouping some of the money. I was reading the above post and asked the lady if the price drops again, can I call again and she said "Yes, you can call again". Good luck.

    Price Promise >>>WARNING<<<<< !!!!!
Be careful!!!! - I just cashed in on a price promise for one leg of my flights for a family holiday (4 adults 4 children) and got £430 in voucher codes.. HOWEVER - I very luckily went online and looked again at my booking to find that all of the related check-ins had been reset. When I checked them in again the seats were in different places and so it made my original boarding passes invalid. I had not been advised of this by the agent on the phone.
If I had not looked at this (as I fly in 5 days) then we would all have been stuck at security abroad with invalid boarding passes.
This is apparently because just to provide the voucher refund they cancel your flight and re-book it at the new rate. Then it's quite possible you lose your originally booked seats.
(I think I'm going to try and get the £5 a seat I paid back now, since these are not the seats I paid for!)
  • I have a £200 voucher, but the flight I want to book is only £150!

What happens to the £50 voucher element I don't use?

    Thanks
  • Hi there,
    Thanks for these tips.
I managed to claim a voucher for £104 under the price promise a couple of weeks ago for some flights to Spain that I booked in January, which are now cheaper.
Unfortunately I found that when I tried to use the voucher this evening to book some flights to Greece in December, they absolutely would not match the online price. Half the voucher was going to be used up in paying extra for using the call centre. I pointed out that even an online booking incurs an admin fee, so asked why they found it necessary to add a further charge.
There is no option to book online if you want to benefit from a refund. You have to call their call centre (which is a long and laborious process). So come on, Easyjet, make your refund codes able to be used online.
I said I would like him to match the price so that I didn't lose out, but wouldn't you know, he got 'cut off'. Not very happy :-(
  • Don't worry, AndyBa, if you see my post below yours, you will discover that the 'spare' £50 will be accounted for by their outrageous extra fee for using the call centre (which you have no choice about). Good luck!
  • For our honeymoon in August, we booked EasyJet flights to Santorini earlier this year. After seeing your tips on the weekly email, I checked the prices, rang EasyJet and managed to get a voucher for £188.75 within minutes. Fantastic! Very grateful John and Claire, husband and wife-to-be :-)
  • Pleased yesterday to be given £20 refund voucher. Disgusted today when using it to book flights - tried to charge me £26 more with the voucher than I can book for online.
    What a fraudulent "price promise"
    Worth less than nothing

An easyJet sale starts tonight, so check if your price has fallen today, if it has claim under their price promise.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • Just got a £73 voucher for the price difference on some Easyjet flights I booked a little while ago - thanks for the tip! This will go towards my next holiday..
