Ha, having the same issue, assumed it was a Chrome issue, spent the last hour Googling to see how to rectify it. Hopefully will be sorted soon :)

I have a problem where suddenly clicking on links doesn't open them in a new tab (it used to.) I haven't changed anything. I've been using the middle mouse button to get around the issue but I liked just having to click a link to open it in a new tab.

MSE know about that and are looking at it.

Some change they made yesterday has removed the target="_blank" attribute from posted links, which makes them open in a new window or tab by default.

Hopefully they will put things back the way they were when they've had a chance for someone techie competent to take a look.

I'm also having this problem and if I'm using my computer I can right click and open the link in a new tab but as I do most of my comping these days on my iPad I can't do this and it's driving me mad. Please hurry and fix the problem.

Does tap and hold not work?

i.e. tap and keep your finger held on the link until a menu pops up giving you the option on how to open the link?

Works on Andriod, and a quick Gogle seems to suggest that it works or did work on iPad with some browsers as well.

I thought it was just me!! I right click and then click open in new tab but it's so frustrating because you get into a rhythm and I find myself just clicking on the link!!
