The forum was or is saving some links wrongly.
They look right but if you hover over then you'll see they don't actually point to where the text of the says they do. Instead they point back to the thread they are on.
It's the forums fault. As said, you may have to try a few copies and paste, or Google for a correct link.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yeah, the text for the link looks right but when you hover over it takes you to MSE. Actually, when I open them by clicking - it's a blank page. Copy and paste is the only solution right now.
Weird that it's not all links though.0 -
I've not noticed any probs. I use Chrome. I'm just wondering if it is because of the way I comp. When I click on a link, I mainly click by pressing down on my mouse wheel. This opens the link in a new tab. It might just be that I have been lucky so far, but it also might be worth someone trying this, just in case it makes the diff.

That won't work with the ones I've had a problem with (I always open comps in a new tab - IE not Chrome though). It's the destination that is wrong, so doesn't matter how you open it - wrong destination means it won't open what you want it to open.0 -
omg i wish I had seen this, just spent an hour changing tabbed browsing before system restoring my laptop, lol.0

Same problem here, using Safari.0

Regarding links, anything that was posted yesterday before the fix was put in place won't currently work, however, if you hit edit + save on your post, the links will start working.
I've let the guys know about the links not opening in new pages.
Hope this helps

That by default in most browsers open links in a new tab, so yes that should work as long as the link itself is correct.
If it's one of the broken ones that the text looks OK, but the actual link underneath just points back to the forum, then it will just open that wrong forum link in the new tab instead.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
