yes, you can do this - if you are intending booking a package with tickets included, then you book your SL package, then contact DLP by phone to add your night at the DLH (as its only one night there, you won't get any discount on the price for the DLH room, so it will be expensive).

Before booking any part of it, I'd look at the price of the SL for the 3 nights plus the cost DLP quote you for your one night at the DLH, compared with booking the DLH for the whole 4 nights (as you'd get the maximum discount that DLP is offering at the time you book for a 4-night stay at the DLH including park tickets). It might work out cheaper this way to stay at the DLH for your whole trip.

Remember to look out for % discounts of 40% or more, or 2 nights free when you book 2 nights etc.

Thank you, very good advice. As I said, a way off yet but I would really love at least 1 night there. Just have to persuade hubby ;)

Hello again!

Just over a fortnight to go now... I'm trying to work out a rough itinerary for when we're there but it would be helpful if anyone has a rough idea of queue times!

Day 1
On the day we arrive it'll be 2pm. Providing we've not had lunch on the Eurostar, I am thinking it maybe useful to go to WDS, watch animagique, meet some characters and do the stars parade. If we're tired, we may then head back to hotel.

Day 2
We'll have EMH however as we are going with DD who's 5 and scared of many rides, we will use it to go on Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World and maybe Buzzlight (time permitting). I may queue up to get a ticket for Princess Pavillion if I can convince DH come with us.

Do you think we could do anything else in EMH?

Its a Small World isn't usually open in EMH unless another usual ride is closed for refurb. In EMH the open rides are usually -
Peter Pan
Dumbo (not as scary as Peter Pan and probably the only time you'll be able to ride Dumbo without queues is in the first half hour of EMH)
Carousel
Teacups
then in Discoveryland, Buzz lazer blast, Orbitron, and Space Mountain 2.

I am thinking of making a reservation for Cafe Mickey at 12 (if available) to have brunch as breakfast isn't included in our hotel package.

These are the other rides/attractions etc we are interested and would be grateful if anyone has an idea of what order to do them for the rest of the 4 days we are there...

Fantasyland
Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains
Pinocchio
Casey Jr. - Le Petit Train du Cirque (if DD allows)
Le Pays des Contes de F!es
Alice's Curious Labyrinth
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant
Small World
Princess pavillion

Discoveryland

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
Les Mystères du Nautilus

Adventureland
Pirates of the Caribbean
Le Passage Enchant! d'Aladdin
Adventure Isle
La Cabane des Robinson
La Plage des Pirates
Hakuma

Frontierland
Phantom House
Fuentel
Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing.
River Rogue Keelboats (closed when we are there)
Critter Coral
Chapparel theatre

I'll need to start queuing at 6? for the parade and 9ish for Dreams.

WDS

Playhouse Disney show

Stitch Live

Stunt Live

Cinemagic

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic

Animagique
Art of Disney Animation

Cars rally (not sure if suitable for DD)

M&G

Minnie and friends

Buzz

Disney characters

Slinky Dog although DD maybe scared
Armageddon

Motor stunt show

As you can see I've not included any thrill rides or even gentle rides such as Dumbo.. DD is very scared! Hopefully, we can fit much of these during the 4 days we are there..

I'd appreciate any ideas!

Thanks!

In the Studios, Slinky, Flying Carpets, and Cars rally are all really fun rides for young children.

Animagique, Playhouse Disney Live, and the Stars n Cars parade I'm sure she'd love. Cinemagique? Not so much if she's scared of loud noises etc (there are a couple of not-so-Disney movie effects in there too). I've never yet made it to the Stunt show in the Studios, neither I nor my DD are remotely interested in fast cars. Does she know who Stitch is? If she does, then I think she'd love Stitch live.

If you want to do the Storyboats and Casey Jnr rides in the back of Fantasyland, do them as soon as you can when that part of the land opens - Casey Jnr gets big queues later in the day, especially if the weather is nice.

In Frontierland, to be honest, apart from the Pocahontas playground and the riverboats, I don't think there will be anything for your daughter - Phantom Manor is dark and scary (its meant to be) and theres nothing in the Critter Corral or Chaparral Theatre areas at all at the moment.

In Fantasyland, apart from the EMH attractions, theres the labyrinth and Its a Small World. If she's a bit of a scaredy, trust me, she won't like either the Pinocchio or Snow White rides - they are dark and don't focus on the happy-ending of the movies.
The Castle is enchanting - maybe not the Dragon in the basement though ;). Remember to take your daughter upstairs in the castle, the story of Sleeping Beauty is told in stained glass and tapestries, and theres a balcony overlooking the Fantasyland rides.

Again in Discoveryland, apart from Buzz and possibly Orbitron, I don't think theres much there for your daughter - apart from Videopolis when you need a break from the crowds, as they show classic toons on the big screens there, and its nice and cool inside when its hot outside.

Adventureland - a lot of the exploring of the caves etc is inside the rocks, which can be dark and a bit slippy in places.
Pirates is a fabulous ride - but your scaredy cat really might not like the queue area - its very very dark in there before you reach your boats, and the theme is inside the fort, so there are little alcoves with prison bars, a skeleton or 2 etc
Most children like the Robinson Tree House, you are really high up when you reach the top and there are great views out over the park.
Pirates beach has a little play area, so I'm sure your daughter would like that.

I've observed what my DD is like when we've been to Chessington and Legoland so have a feeling she may not like these although not scary, she is afraid of 'fast' movement rather than being in the dark. She's been to the equivalent of Buzzlight in Chessington and she seemed ok to wait in the 'dark' and do a dark ride (it was fairly slow)

Animagique, Playhouse Disney Live, and the Stars n Cars parade I'm sure she'd love. Cinemagique? Not so much if she's scared of loud noises etc (there are a couple of not-so-Disney movie effects in there too). She's better with loud noises now than before or knows to cover her ears if needed.

Thank you so much Balletshoes - so apart from the rides, M&G, parades and Dream, I hope I haven't forgotten anything else. I don't really plan to go shopping there but DH will surely want to buy something for DD...

oh don't worry about that :rotfl: - there are shops next to just about every ride in the parks, plus department-store style shops on Main St USA (both sides of it) and as you enter the Studios, both inside and outside, on the left hand side. Theres also a World of Disney store in the Village.

hi
apologies if I asked before, but what is best website to book a 1 day or 2 day park hopper? were not 100% sure what days we will visit park, but does a 2 day ticket have to be used consecutively?

how much more are tickets at the entrance on the day?

Having missed the recent deal at ticknet.fr for discounted e-tickets, I looked around for another deal and found this UK based deal at travelrepublic.co.uk. They are offering 2 separate one day tickets for both parks for £92 (adult) and £80 (child). Being UK based, you can pay online in UK pounds. Free delivery, if the tickets are not urgent and they offer a 2 day delivery service, if the tickets are urgent (via Special Delivery) for just £4.50.

I tell you this because I ordered them on Monday and received them today. My experience has been fine. Good luck.

Forgot to mention. These tickets are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and are not date specific like the French website e-tickets.

from a UK landline use a discount dial to France landlines, like -

0844 200 90 90

before calling the Dining reservation line (0033 160 304050), or Guest Services at DLP (the number is 0033 160 306053). That way the call will only cost you 0.5p per minute.

Yes, the Princess makeover at the DLH is expensive - it starts at around 40 euros for hair and make-up only, then there are packages which include the dress, accessories, souvenir and photo pack - I believe they are over 100 euros .

Thanks for this info regarding the discount phone line. Absolutely brilliant! Have yet to phone Disney, but used it for another foreign call!

Thanks!

Ok, phoned DLP Hotel and found out a little about the Princess for a Day makeover. They seem to be open all year (I asked specifically about December) with appointments available from 10am until 5.20pm. Prices currently range from 50E - 169E (no specific details but the higher the package, more included including dresses, accessories, etc) The lady I spoke to was lovely. You can't book over the phone, only in person, but can book for later the same day or anytime during your stay. They're on the second floor of the hotel.

Just in case anyone else in interested!

thanks some good offers there, not sure if I have enough time to order as we leave next Tuesday!
also sounds like you need to carry your passport
This Special Ticket is non-exchangeable and non-refundable. The ticket is personal, nominative and non-transferable. While using the ticket, the holder may be asked to present valid ID with a photo matching the name on the ticket.

I was just going to book 2 separate 1 day tickets at £84 each from http://www.attractiontix.co.uk/disneyland-paris.aspx?gclid=CIu98YOj5LgCFXMQtAod7xsAIw#CalendarClick
where I can print tickets out

I don't think you'll be asked for ID with those tickets - but if you think you might be, just copy the photo page of your passports and carry them with you to DLP.
