Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Were tempted to go this August for a week to Paris (plan is to fly into CDG).
1) If we stay near DLP park which is a cheap hotel/area with free shuttle bus nearby?
2) or what area is best to stay near the city but which has direct transport links to DLP? means we don't have to change hotels as we like to visit city for few days afterways.
3) what is cheapest way to book park tickets for 1 or 2 days for 1A and 1Child (11yrs)
any help welcome as can see this costing a fortune but we really want to go!
thanks.
yes it will cost a fortune this month.
Bussy st george is closer to Paris, but has no free shuttles. You'd need to take the RER in and out of DLP and Paris from there.
val d'europe is also on the direct line to Paris, and has a free shuttle bus which drops off from DLP to hotels near the train station.
you've just missed the flash sales for the one day/2 day park tickets, so it looks like around 49 euros each is the cheapest, for one day/2 parks.0 -

They are temporary tickets, so on your first day at DLP, take your passports and your tickets to the AP office inside the main park, and they will transfer them then to your permanent laminated annual passes, which will be valid for one year from the date you get them made permanent
.
I ordered the tickets last Friday night and they came yesterday, excellent fast service :j. I got the Fantasy pass as it was cheaper and suited our dates, the only blackout date during our visit is 15 Oct - does you know whats on then?0 -

Nothing probably but they have to put the blackout days in somewhere, typically one or 2 per month.0 -
guess we don't have much choice in dates with school holidays on my side, as flights in Oct half term are only a bit cheaper.

thanks suggested I jus stay in 1 hotel near city and get the DLP train from Gare De Leon each day, probably means a Metro journey to Gare De leon from wherever we stay. Plan would be 1-2 days at DLP depending on park tickets then rest to see sights in Paris.
Which is a good district that is not far from Gare De Leon, that is near restaurants, supermarkets etc.? Or if you can suggest any hotels maybe you suggest? (just want clean, basic hotel with Wifi & breakfast)

I have no idea - I'm in the Disney bubble when I go to DLP :rotfl:. For Paris hotels/areas you might be better starting a new thread for suggestions?0 -

Same here balletshoes, the only time we ever saw the Eiffel Tower was when we missed our exit to get on the A104 and had to travel through the city (sat nav programming problem!):D
So Mutley, you probably have the right idea wanting to see Paris, it's something we always think about doing whilst at DLP but never get around to it. Shame really. Maybe next time ..
If anyone has arranged and been on a Cityrama tour whilst at DLP, I would be interested to hear about it - I see they are advertised in the tourism office at DLP and look like a good way to see Paris."Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

We are looking to stay onsite for my son's birthday which is the 5th May, we did stay on site earlier this year in March at the Disneyland Hotel and got a great price with 2 nights free, we had hoped to get a similar deal for staying for his birthday, it is showing the 2 nights free at the moment when booking 4 nights arriving 4th May but is much more expensive than we paid this year, about £700 more for the 4 of us. Just wondering if it is worth waiting to see if the price comes down or if this will probably be as good as it gets, if they are offering 2 nights free in the price showing at the moment then its working out at over £900 per night !! Not sure if I can persuade DH that we are getting a bargain !! Also does anyone know if it is school holidays in Europe that week as I know this can affect the price - thanks in advance for any advice.0

January to March visits are always the cheapest prices for staying onsite at DLP.
In May, I tend to stay offsite in one of the partner hotels (not booked through Disney) and buy annual passes for park entry.
Zone A French schools are off w/c 5th May, but thats not the busy one (Zone C, Greater Paris area) so it shouldn't affect the price really.0
