    Balletshoes,
Can you give any food/drink tips? Are we okay to bring in own water bottles/snacks? and where is the best value place to buy a meal inside?

Also do you know the train website for trains RER (A or B?) from Gare De Lyon to DLP? Again any tips for getting to/from DLP welcome.

seat61 might help you with travelling around Paris by public transport?

Its fine to bring your own food and soft drinks into the parks, just no glass bottles or food knives etc. Theres a decent Casino/Relay convenience store inside the train station at DLP where you can get snacks, drinks etc, cheaper than anything else onsite.

inside the parks, the kids meal deals at the counter service restaurants are about the same size as the adult ones, so I'd just buy those for you both. Blockbuster Cafe inside the Studios is particularly good value for the amount of food you get for the price.

Walts and Blue Lagoon are good table service restaurants inside the main park, they have express Lunch menus where you can get a generous main course from a set menu plus a cafe gourmand (tea/coffee of your choice plus 3 mini desserts) for around 20 euros each.

There are 3 decent all-you-can-eat buffets inside the parks too - in the main park theres Plaza Gardens and Agrabah Cafe, and in the Studios Restaurant des Stars. Adults are around 22 euros, kids aged under 12 around 11 euros, kids buffet includes a soft drink, and you can have carafes of water at your table free of charge if you don't want a soft drink.

The Village area is right next to the entrance to the parks at DLP, so its easy to pop out there for something to eat. Theres a McDonalds and Earl of Sandwich in the Village, which are cheaper than the food outlets inside the parks.

Have a look on DLRPMagic for their restaurant reviews/approx prices/menus and photos, see what takes your fancy :).

Hi Balletshoes..Just popped in to say many thanks for your advice and patience in answering queries on here. We got back last week following a 4 day trip which turned out to be so much more economical thanks to your advice. We hope to go again maybe in Jan as the kids couldn't do all the rides and we never got to meet the princesses...(had to queue to get a ticket to meet them later and it was just too hot to do that)!

Disney Village is free to enter and it is still open way after the park is closed, sorry I don't know specific times but it is always open when we are in that area.

Sorry I can't answer all queries, but hope the above helps a little.

Village is free to enter ~ it opens before 9am and closes around midnight. the last train to val d,europe leaves the dlp station around midnight ~ you can check on the RER website. the free shuttle to val d,europe may leave earlier ~ if you look on the l,elysee hotel website the shuttle timetable is on there (its called navette)

    Hi,

I'm driving up to DLP from the south of France at the moment and have a few quick questions if anyone can help.

I've bought 6 AP and understand I need to exchange my vouchers for park tickets/passports on arrival. Does anyone know when the office might close for me to be able to do this? I'm probably going to be there about 7-8pm this evening.

Also I think that I qualify for free parking (I bought the medium passports), is there somewhere that I can park whilst upgrading to my annual passports?

    Thank you.

I don't think free parking applies until your AP voucher has been exchanged/upgraded. The cheaper area to park other than the main DLP car park (20 euros IIRC) is the multi storey near Disney Village - we only used it once a few years ago and can't remember the cost, but cheaper for a short stay as it is pay hourly on return to your vehicle.

Not sure about the hours for AP office, but I've never seen it closed.

    Hope this helps.

Frogeye, just another thought, as you are driving are you using a Liber-t road toll pay tag? If so the car park at Disney Village will be added to your account with your road tolls as it is a Vinci car park.

(Apologies if you haven't got a pay tag, don't mean to confuse you).

Gels is right ~ the Village car park is only 8 euros to park ~ half the price of the main disney car park and closer to the parks as well.

check when you arrive this evening at guest services BEFORE you enter the park ~ the AP office has set opening and closing times and you may not have time tonight to get your temp APs made permanent. Remember too that you all need to be present at the AP office and you will all need your passports as photo ID.
