balletshoes wrote: »you won't get a cheaper price than you're seeing on the DLP site (whichever country is cheapest) because thats peak season week at DLP - just about every country in Europe has school holidays that week, including all French schools.
So you'd be better looking at the price you've got for onsite, including park tickets.
Then compare it with a nearby hotel booked on its own, and buying Annual Passes for your 4 days park access - Fantasy APs are fine, you just miss the blackout dates on that pass on your dates (they are 26th and 31st October). The total for your 4 Fantasy passes would be around 350 euros through promoparcs or cemultiavantages.
Have a look at travelrepublic, alpharooms, hotels.com, expedia etc etc to find a nearby hotel which suits you.
Thanks.
It is £1,285 on the Disney site for 3 nights at the Cheynne with free HB.
On hotel.com the Dream Castle Hotel!is £500 for the 3 nights. Therefore with the £303 for fantasy passes surely a total of £803 is to good to be true?0 -

no, because Disney keeps its prices artificially high on its onsite hotels to then offer "free stuff" included in its price. The Dream Castle is a much nicer hotel compared with the Cheyenne.
Remember to check other sites when looking at the hotel price for the Dream Castle - it has its own website too.0 -
I'm looking into taking Mr Mrs and the two kids in september. (Kids aged 3 years and the other 4 months.)
Ive got the option to go the sunday to wednesday (15-18th) or Friday to Monday (20th-23rd).
Any advice on which is the better option?
Looking at the fantasy passes it looks like the weekend 21st-22nd is not included. similarly the 17th is not included so i'm guessing these passes would not be beneficially to me? is this correct?
Is it going to be a cheaper option to book the disney davey crocket ranch and get tickets included or best to book something like the dream castle and book my own tickets?
Apologies for all the questions!
how much is the Davy Crockatt including tickets?
Dream Castle for your dates 15th-18th September, bed and breakfast, is a total of £288. Dream passes through cemultiavantages or promoparcs would be around 380 euros total. So thats around £620 total. If you don't think you'll want park access for all 4 days of your trip, you might find that day tickets might work out cheaper - check fnac, ticketnet.fr, cemultiavantages and promoparcs to see what those prices might be.
The Dream Castle is closer to DLP than the Davy Crockett is, and you wouldn't need to use your car at all once you reached the Dream Castle, as it has free shuttles to and from the parks all day every day. You could drive if you wanted, and park in the Disney car park (this is free with a Dream AP).
Of your 2 choices of dates, I'd go Sunday to Wednesday - weekends are usually busier than midweek. Having said that, its all the cheaper AP blockout dates that weekend, so it might be fairly quiet.0 -
balletshoes wrote: »I'm not sure - if you do a dummy booking it should tell you which version of a park ticket you get. Its not a problem either way - if its a print-at-home eticket you don't have to get that changed at the gates of DLP, it'll have a barcode on it which is scanned to get you through the turnstiles and use the fastpass machines etc.
If its a voucher, you just change it at guest services right outside the park turnstiles when you arrive, before entering the parks.
Thankyou
I got 1day 2 parks, 37 euros each so for 2 days worth it worked out at 154 euros with admin, printed eticket for dates shown only, works out roughly at £140ish.I think, lot cheaper then Disney.Jane x0 -
Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if this is a decent price, looking to book pretty soon (tickets by the 31st due to offer)

2 day Hopper Tickets £45 each - £180 for Two Adults, 1 Child (Free)
Explorers Hotel £ 236 - not cheapest but after something half decent not to far away

Grand Total: £568
Any good? could I get cheaper Tickets for the Park perhaps?

thanks for this.
I'm guessing if i buy day passes i wont get the extra few hours in the park before it opens since the dream castle isn't an official Disney hotel?0 -

yes you do- if you have either Dream or Fantasy passes, you get Extra Magic Hours regardless of where you are staying - its one of the perks of being an AP holder.
eta - sorry I misunderstood - if you buy day tickets instead of APs, and you're staying offsite, no, you don't get access to Extra Magic Hours.0 -

yes, you could definitely get one-day park tickets for cheaper than £45 each - check ticketnet.fr, fnac, cemultiavantages and promoparcs.0 -

I understand if i purchase an AP i will get the hours but since the dates i am talking about going are outwith the AP i would buy day passes instead which would rule me out? or am I misunderstanding?
is the cheapest way to buy passes for 2 days at
ce-multiavantages.com
where essentially i would buy 6 tickets at 39 euros each (1 ticket/2 parks) ?
edit:
is this a dream passport for 25 euros? whats the deal with this?

that link is for 20 euros discount on a regular price Dream AP, so it would be 179 euros through promoparcs instead of the gate price of 199 euros.
yes, if you are after 2-days park access instead of 4, you are probably cheapest buying individual one-day park tickets, through any of the 4 sites I mentioned earlier (whichever is the cheapest for the dates you need).
eta - and yes, sorry it was my misunderstanding, as I said earlier, if you buy park tickets instead of APs, you don't get access to Extra Magic Hours if staying offsite.0
