    Thanks
We will always use them for the eurotunnel, but prefer to stay in the Cheyenne Hotel, so we can walk to the Park each morning.

Whats the accommadation like that you suggest?
    I take it thats a 10min drive?

It will be our first time in Aug,but has good reviews and a few people on DIS and PTS have been and said it was good :)
we don't mind staying offsite, and if Mr T pays for it all the better

hi, thanks nchick but i think we will all manage somehow to get on the 1 adult 1 child free. However i have another question. Anyone had any experience of how fluent they are in english at the passport office? also do you buy 2 temporary annual passes 1 adult and 1 child at the gates and then go and change it , as in do you get the childs free offer at the gates? Hmm so many questions so little time!!!!!
Most of them are reasonable English speakers.
You get a paper ticket and then change it for a plastic one in the park
Yes you get the child free offer at the entrance to the park, outside the turnstiles. I would take copy of the offer page for the buy one get one free.

Just checked the coach website online with a fictional family of 4, now 17 Euros per adult and 13 Euros aged 3 to 11 so it would be 60 Euros each way for your family. If I was taking one of the taxis/mini bus that tout for business I wouldn't pay any more than that and in fact try and haggle them down as they are there to try and get some business.

As you can see from Loobysaver's post they are paying 55 Euros for a family of 4 (and if I had read it earlier I would have seen she prices the Disney coach :o) via R S Transports but the prices on the website linked from DisBoards show it as being more expensive than 55 but I'm sure she can let us know when she comes back.

So its really six and half a dozen give or take a few euros....might try the taxi cause it gets there a lot quicker so I heard!! In saying that I better book the hotel etc first before I get ahead of myself!! Waiting for the new prices to come out...this time last year I was WELL booked and getting excited....this hanging around isn't good for you at all!!!!:p

Does Ryan Air suit you? £5 flights but must be booked tonight!
  • thanks again nchick. Great thinking on taking the offer page. My dd isnt 3 until the 2nd day in disney so hoping they will let us get an annual passport the day before. Hence the wondering if they speak good english so i can explain the situation. My french is limited to restaurant speak. If anyone has any advice on my predicament with dd only being 3 on 2nd day inpark but we can only get the free passport with the adult on first day , hmm this is confusing me but i think you all understand. There is 2 adults and 3 children. DS is 4, DS2 is 1 so no probs there, But DD is 2 on the first day and the second is her 3rd birthday. So any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Everyone,

Well after lots of ringing around, searching on the internet I've used £62.50 worth of Mr T's finest clubcard vouchers to pucrhase enough airmiles to convert to the Eurostar journey to DLP. Eurostar prices were £272 for 1 adult and 1 child so using my clubcard vouchers has saved me a fortune!

I also chickened out of booking everything else seperately - partly because I saved so much on the rail fare. So my DD will be ecstatic when she gets in later!

Thanks for the advice and if anyone wants to start suggesting the "in place" to go feel free.

  • We go to Disneyland Paris once ever year.

Here are my tips for saving money and still enjoying yourselves:

Travel by Car if you can, via Eurotunnel.
Then pay for your Eurotunnel tickets with Tesco Vouchers.

Load your boot of your car up with drinks, snacks, crisps etc... Then take a lightweight rucksack with bits in to the Park each day. Buying stuff like this inside the Parks is a real rip-off, and you know the kids always want something!

If staying at a Disney Hotel, stay at Cheyenne or Santa Fe (Cheyenne is slightly better)
No point in paying extra for better rated Hotel that has more facilities like swimming pools etc... if you are going to be at the Parks all day long.
Cheyenne is just a very pleasant 15min walk to the Parks, or 2min free bus ride.

For lunch, grab some baguettes from the Marne la Valee Station on your way past it to the Parks. Very nice and much cheaper than the rubbish in the Parks. Stick them in your handy rucksack until lunchtime!

For Dinner, if you must eat in the Restaurants in Disney Village, they are all very expensive, but go for Mickey Cafe everytime. Its the same high prices as RainForest Cafe and Planet Hollywood, but the kids get the added bonus of the Characters coming to the table for autographs and photos. Plus a free drinks cup to take home.

    Hope these help
