Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi All
I've had a quick flick through most of the pages, and i've just got a few questions please...
We have been to Disney Paris before - 3yrs ago, but we booked a late deal with going places (i think) and it only cost £499, with Cheyenne, b&b, and character breakfast and Eurostar and park hopper tickets all included...so I think it was quite a good deal for a family of 4 in January..
Anyway I desperately want to go again and I think my boys will love it even more this time as I want to get it for them as a christmas present (they will just have turned 6 & 8), I was initially looking at going between xmas and new year BUT it is extortionate, so I am planning to go 4th January.
If I book directly with Disney, do you have to pay the whole lot upfront or do they do a deposit scheme? (like travel agents do). Also are you able to pre-book the extras like buffalo bills show, character breakfast/dinners etc directly with them or do you have to wait till you get their to do this.
Secondly I have seen people quoting Eurostar prices in the region of £50 return....where on earth do you get these kinds of prices all the ones i see are a lot dearer?? And does anyone know how far in advance you can book the Eurostar, and when the best prices are etc..
I'm sorry for all the questions, any replies would really help me out
Thanks

If you book online with Disney you have to pay the whole lot upfront whereas if you phone up you can pay a 10% deposit and the rest no more than 60 days before you go.
RE: Eurostar, most people get the best prices by booking in advance on the Eurostar website as it is more expensive via Disney.
You can book Buffalo Bills/Cafe Mickey etc when you book your accommodation.;)0 -
Ah that's great thank you for your reply.
I have had a play around on various sites re travel this is what i've found out so far, Any advice welcomed...
Option 1 - is by coach, £260 BUT it takes approx 14hrs. and then need transfer from paris central coach station to Disney.
Option 2 - is by train, booking the whole journey direct with eurostar from liverpool to Disney came out at £1200 (Ha!) or if i split it we can do liverpool to london £140, then london to Disney with eurostar £544 total travel time was about 7-8hrs with both of these.
Option 3 - is to fly, manchester to CDG cheapest i've found is £430, but need to account £90 rtn taxi to manchester and 90Euros for tgv rtn to disney so still coming out at around £600 total. Big benefit is just 1.5hrs on plane.
Option 4 - is to drive, however, we got rid of our car this year so would need to hire one. £150 hire car then fuel and ferry on top would probably come out at about £400ish in all benefit is it is doorstep to doorstep travel no messing around withgetting on and off etc but would still take around 11hrs of continous driving
The more I think about it the more confused I get.....

Everyone that I know highly recommends the Eurostar service, however it wasn't really an option for us unless we travelled to St pancras or Ashford the night before and stayed in a hotel.
In the end we flew with Airfrance from our local airport to CDG and got a taxi (pre-booked) through RS Transports. The flights for 2 adults, 2 children were £469 and the transfers were 55 euros each way.
It's a shame you haven't got a car as that would be the cheapest option if you didn't have to hire one.0 -
I know the car option would be the cheapest and another benefit would be staying at davy crockett (we both really like the look of it) and it would reduce food costs whilst there too.
I just like flying and the boys have never been on a plane either so it would be more of a memorable experience, but dh is scared of flying (although he won't admit it!!!!!)
to be honest the way it's going today i'm thinking of scraping the whole idea anyway, he just keeps arguing about everything i suggest...
I will pop in in a few days if anything gets sorted.

IF u have Tesco vouchers, use them for Eurotunnel and drive if you canPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

hi
yes we did think about that, but as we were going in Feb, thought it might be a bit choppy on the seas, so opted for Eurotunnel instead. It was so easy.
as far as i can see, u can no longer get a ferry anywayPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Can anyone advise on how to get a good deal on a break at Disneyland Paris. Can anyone recommend an operator that offers better priced deals than their competitors? I'm not too fussed whether we stay at a Disney Hotel or one of the alternatives (as we'll spend our days in the park not the hotel).0

You can still go by ferry, we did in March and are again in September.
It was a bit choppy on the way there but not so bad on the way home, depends on the weather.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
