  • We did EuroDisney on the cheap a couple of years ago, there were two adults and 1 child.

We saved the Sun vouchers and booked into a camp site 1 hour outside of ED which came to about £30for the 3 of us. We got RyanAir flights @ £34.99 per person and hired a car for the 3/4 day break (can't remember the cost of that bit).

Bought 2 of the 3 tickets of Ebay (they only had a couple of months left on them) and the other full price from a Disney shop.

Really enjoyable break, great camp site and other half didn't fancy the drive to the Park 1 day but the campsite provided transport a couple of days a week for a minimal fee.

    christmas is so magical
we used to do it every year
but now my wife works in a school she simply can't get the time off to go a couple of days before end of term:rolleyes:

so we always go feb half-term now

Xmas is just the best time to be there, apart from the crowds. We spent New Years eve there a couple of times, and it was so magical and very very busy.

We have been in march for the kids go free offers, and Halloween which is ace too

Everyone that I know highly recommends the Eurostar service, however it wasn't really an option for us unless we travelled to St pancras or Ashford the night before and stayed in a hotel.

In the end we flew with Airfrance from our local airport to CDG and got a taxi (pre-booked) through RS Transports. The flights for 2 adults, 2 children were £469 and the transfers were 55 euros each way.

It's a shame you haven't got a car as that would be the cheapest option if you didn't have to hire one.

Eurostar is the way to go if you can get to London or Ashford cheap enough, especially with the disney express luggage service. We have done Eurostar 4 times, flown twice from heathrow and once ffrom Exeter and I have driven (which was actually the easiest option).

    Hi

Booked to travel New Year's Eve by Eurotunnel with Tesco vouchers.

Staying 4 nights at Marriott Village I'le de France , costs £500 but I want comfort after going 4 years ago and getting caught in storms and rain. Stayed at Kyriad but we never got our shoes and clothes dry!!

There is a shuttle service to the Park but we have the car. Also swimming pool, spa, fitness etc. if needed.

Nearby Hypermarket for food , drinks etc.

Bought Euro Disney shares so will get 20% off 5 annual passports + 15% extra discount for shareholder perks. We need 5 passports but will be able to use them again next year.

Extra discounts using both Annual passports and shareholder discounts while we are there. Plan to go to Cafe Mickey as it was great when we went before: lots of characters and impromptu floor show. Also did tea with characters in Park. Very sickly but the kids loved it.

Total cost just under £1000 which isn't bad considering that we can go to the Park again free next year. We would have needed 2 hotel rooms if staying at a hotel as I am travelling with my daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren.

    Hi

I booked Eurotunnel using Tesco vouchers, cost £101, £25 in vouchers.
Should arrive around 3pm and we are hoping that the kids will have a sleep on the way down. Some kind person on this site told me that Disneyland stays open until 1pm with fireworks at midnight.

I booked the Marriott house on their website, link shown earlier. Costs 173 euros for 1st 2 nights and then 130 euros for second 2 nights as price drops.
Cost 615 euros including tax or £485.

I have bought 20 eurodisney shares, cost £150 with booking fees. I have sent details of purchase to the shareholder club and am waiting for my card.
    http://corporate.disneylandparis.com/shareholders/shareholders-club/index.xhtml#contentj.
You can buy 5 shares for about £48 including fees and pay 30 euros administration fee every 2 years but I see it as an investment and decided to do it this way.

If you buy 5 annual passes you get 20% discount and then another 15% off with the shareholder discount. We will get fantasy passports which have a few blackout dates
    http://www.dlrpmagic.com/calendar/annual-passport-restrictions/
but can be used from 31/12 and cost 129 euros at the moment. The price is shown until end November so it may change. 129 euros x 5 = 645 euros - 20 % = 516 euros - 15 % = 439 euros or £345.

You get free parking at Disneyland, as a shareholder, and other discounts:
see post 890 by Edinburghlass above.

Yeah the fireworks are at midnight and the park is open to 1am.

I really do hope your kids have a sleep, my little one was 7 when we went for New years eve in 06/07 and she was shattered.

Ive checked out the marriot and was given some vouchers when we went to Disney in october, so I may well use them.

I would much prefer to stay in a Disney hotel to be near everything, but its gonna cost in excess of 2k.

Ive never really thought about buying shares, as the park passes have always been included in our hotel price.

Eurotunnel is a fab way to go, and in fact its probably easier to do it this way, as you have not got to wait around for transfers etc.

Just had a look at the BBCs 5 day forecast for Paris and it is predicting heavy showers for Tuesday - our arrival day!!
Hopefully it will turn out to be as accurate as one of their TV forecasts :D
