We are off to DLP next week.:T Is Val d'Europe shopping and sealife aquarium worth a visit ?. Also which way is the best option to get there hotel shuttle or train? We are staying at My Travel Explores hotel. :j
    The shopping center yes

    The aquarium no

Me and the oh stayed in the val d'europe hotel across from both the shopping center was good (for her not me lol) but the aquarium was a bit of a rip off tbh it took about 15 mins to go round and not worth the money you pay to go in

A little tip if you go to the shopping center there is a chocolate shop there and they let you try them so go there :) (they are very good)

If you stayed at one of the disney hotels you wouldn't have seen it but you can get a taxi for 5 euro's return

Hi. I've been looking at this forum to research our trip and got some great advice so wanted to share our experiences.

We went to DLP two weeks ago and stayed in Val D'Europe at the Residhome aparthotel (booked through Superbreak). The room was brilliant as there was a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle so we could have breakfast and take sandwiches with us.

The website said they were 5 mins from DLP but they were selling themselves short! The RER train station was a 50 yard walk and the journey took about 90 secs!

I'd only bother with a taxi if there's a lot of you. The train costs 1.4 Euros for a single and half price for children (classed as 4 and above). You can buy 10 tickets for 11 Euros which is obviously worth it if you're there for a few days. There's a train about every 10 mins as well and they were reliable.

Val D'Europe has a massive shopping centre and there's an Auchan hypermarket over two storeys to stock up on wine and bread! We met people who were staying in Disney village who were also making their own sandwiches etc.
We didn't check them out but there's a food court in the centre for eating out as well. On the main street opposite the station there was a creperie (fantastic!) a Chinese and an Italian (OK) which did takeaway pizzas.

Overall, we were really pleased staying there but as our passes were £300 for four days, i'd recommend pricing up the Disney hotels as their cost includes passes.

BTW, we spent a day in Paris and a train ticket cost 11Euros and this gave you use of the Metro once in the city.

don't forget buying annual passes could work out cheaper,
especially if you plan to return again within 12 months :)

you get all the discounts in shops, restaurants, parking etc

and if you buy the dream AP you get the EMH too :)

we are wanting to take our two kids to Eurodisney in the kids holidays and was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to stay, we have very specific dates 24/7 for 3 nights and would love a 2/3 bedroomed apt mobile home so that we can have a bit of a relax after they have gone to bed.......

    Any ideas!

    Will you be driving ?
Davy Crockett Ranch is supposed to be good ,its about 15 mins away http://hotels.disneylandparis.co.uk/hotels/davy-crockett-ranch/index.xhtml

Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch is a self-drive destination approximately 15 minutes from the Disney Parks and Disney Village.
    Please note:
    - there is no shuttle between Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch and the Disney Parks. You must have your own transport, or ask us about the HERTZ rental car service.
    - there is no luggage room.
The car parks for the Disney Parks are free for guests staying at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch.
  • Just checked out the prices for DLP for Feb 2009 half-term, and almost fell off my chair !!

We paid £369 for 3nights in Hotel Cheyenne in the same half-term week this year, including park passes. It was a 'kids-go-free' offer, and we drove ourselves there. Kids are 9 and 4.

Just got a quote from my usually reliable contact, for the same week and they have ramped the price up 30% (£110) to £479. This is still with a 'kids-go-free' offer apparantly !!

Anyone else got any other contacts, so that I can compare a few quotes, please?
Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

I found that when I booked our holiday to DLP (going next week - yeah) The cheapest website to book everything together was World travellers. Nobody else could match their price! I sent all my details in an email, and they sent me back a quote that same day - I was really impressed!
