I would definetely take some drinks and snacks with you.

A 500ml bottle of coke in the park is 3 euros, candy floss 4 euros, popcorn 4 euros.

Mc donalds in the village is not to much more expensive than normal.

other food outlets are expensive, when i went we had a good breakfast at the park, then snacks that i bought from home for lunch, then i splashed out on cafe mickey both nights for dinner.
( if you do want to eat in the restraunts make sure you book before you go).

yes, you can get carafes of water free in all the table service restaurants at DLP.

I really like restaurant des stars in the Studios for lunch, its a full buffet restaurant for everyone, kids get a soft drink included in the price, adults get unlimited hot drinks (theres a hot drinks machine in the middle of the restaurant). They also have little animatronic Remy who comes around all the tables with his Chef, he's very cute and the kids love him :).

If you want counter service rather than buffet/table service, the Blockbuster Cafe is, I think, better than the others in the Studios. One half of the restaurant is decorated with High School Musical theme, the other half is decorated like Pirates of The Caribbean.

hello, is the only mcdonalds in the village? I thought I read that it was in the main park? In the studio park is the blockbuster cafe one that serves chicken nuggets? Does it do ice cream sundaes?

We go next week and have started to do a list of rides and shows we want to see but the more I read the more I add to the list!

What kind of thing on restaurant des stars buffet does anyone know?

    thanks

no theres no mcdonalds in the main park or the studios, just in the village. there are loads of burger places in both parks, but they are more expensive than mcdonalds.

you get chicken nuggets and kids ice-cream sundae type desserts in the En Coulisse restaurant in the studios. Blockbuster cafe serves sandwiches, croque monsieur, pizza, that kind of thing.

restaurant des stars has a bit of everything, soup, salads, chicken wings, a bit of French-based stews, vegetarian dishes, pasta, meatballs, usually a carvery meat too, and the desserts are great, crepes, sauces, pies and tarts, muffins, fresh fruit and fresh fruit salad etc.

    Morning

Think I know the answer to this but just checking to be on the safe side...

A friend of mine has let me have his 2 free Sky tickets to DLP which I have claimed in my name, and the confirmation is in my name too. I wont have any problems at DLP will I with these tickets ??

Also I take it there will be 2 adult tickets only ?? Will we have to pay for our 5yo ??

Can anyone recommend the cheapest way to get there, where to stay and what to do re eating and drinking while we're there ?? IE Should be stay hb at a hotel/self catering in Premier Inn type place ?? Get a deal at a DLP hotel ??

All advise/help gratefully received.. BTW I'm organising this as a surprise for my wifes 40th birthday so don't want anything to go wrong !!!

as long as you have actually already received the confirmation in your name (ie it hasn't been cancelled by Sky) then you'll have no problems with the voucher at DLP, as its all in your name and you'll be using your passport as ID, which will be in the same name :).

Also I take it there will be 2 adult tickets only ?? Will we have to pay for our 5yo ??

yes, you'll need park tickets for your 5-year old.

the cheapest way would probably be to drive and then stay in either val d'europe or bussy st george (very close to DLP). There are loads of travelodge-type budget hotels in these areas.

Food and drinks are expensive at DLP, a budget of 100 euros per day should see you alright though, with money to spare. If you drive you can take your own snacks etc so can take those into the parks and just splurge on one main meal per day, that could cut down the spends by around 30 euros.

All advise/help gratefully received.. BTW I'm organising this as a surprise for my wifes 40th birthday so don't want anything to go wrong !!!

    hope you all enjoy it!
