    Hi

Can someone tell me if this is a good deal please. We are a family of 3 a child of 4 going to DLP on the 2nd-4th August. We have 2 free tickets for the park through Sky so need to buy one for the little one. I have been collecting tesco club vouchers and converted them to airmiles. I have a quote from avios for our trip with Eurostar 2 nights with a stay in either the Park Suite Presitge Val'Europe for £481.50 or a stay at the Dream Castle for £517.50 with 11,000 airmiles

Do you think this is a good deal as I have been hearing that converting tesco points doesn't always work out cheaper.

ALso has anyone stayed at these hotels, whats the verdict?

I tried to get a quote for the same holiday with expedia but flying and it was about £600 without airmiles so not much different to using the vouchers. I was a bit reluctant to go via air as the journey the other end to the hotel i have heard is over an hour.

    any help would be great

without using any of your avios, and by just going on 2 websites (so could even get it cheaper by looking around a bit more) I can see that same trip, by direct Eurostar both ways on your dates, and 2 nights at the Dream Castle (a lovely hotel very close to DLP) for £516.50. So I wouldn't bother using any of your avios.

I got the direct Eurostar fare from the Eurostar website £267.50, and the 2 nights at the Dream Castle on travelrepublic £249.

thanks i have been trying to get on the eurostar web page to check the prices I will book with them now and save the points.

I will try expedia for the hotel as I have read bad reviews regarding Travel republic so i will be leaving well alone with them

    Thanks for you help though.

Have you stayed at Dream Castle

The Explorers, Magic Circus, Dream Castle and Kyriad hotels are all in a row next to each other, at the end of the road where the first onsite hotel begins (the Santa Fe). By free regular shuttle (every 20 minutes all through the day and evening) from the hotel to the entrance to the parks and the Village it takes no more than 10 minutes.

There are loads of shops in the parks and in the Village, there are also a couple of shops inside the train station at DLP, which is right beside where you are dropped off by your shuttle bus when you arrive at DLP :).

have you looked into using your tesco clubcard vouchers for a DLP park ticket? That could end up being free if you can do that :).
