thanks for the response to the phineas and ferb question, out of curiosity my little brother is fussy and do you remember off the top of your heads anywhere that has chicken goujons / chicken strips or breast nuggets.
he doesnt like mcdonalds chicken nuggets but will eat chicken selects and similar style nuggets out of pure chicken breast.
only 6 days untill we go and feel much more organised this time x
the last chance cafe in Frontierland (round the corner from the Lucky Nugget and on the way to the Phantom Manor) does chicken strips, they are very nice (my DD is also a fussy mare with food and she loves these).

Hi all
Sorry for not jumping back to the thread as soon as I got back from my trip, but wanted to write a decent trip report for you all, apologies for it’s length!!!
First of all I want to start off saying that myself and ds had the best holiday ever! It was absolutely fantastic and really magical for us both. Ds is at such an innocent age at the moment and it was wonderful to see his reactions to things.
The journey down there went well, ds coped with it, wasn’t sick and didn’t make a fuss at the length of time it took. We got to our room at about 9:30 local time (ds didn’t like the look of Santa Fe at all... ‘I don’t like this hotel, it’s rubbish’ he said), we unpacked, had a cuppa then went straight to bed. The first day there ds was woken up by Mickey Mouse’s wake up call. It was the sweetest thing ever when ds talked to the recording lol. By the look on his face it made him feel really special.
We got dressed and went for breakfast. I accidently went through the exit for breakfast, found a table then queued up. I realised there was little point in queuing for the first lot of fruits, yoghurts etc when there was the same items dotted about to pick from (next day I accidently went through the exit again and this time didn’t queue).
We walked straight to the park which was easy enough to find. Friday the weather was gorgeous and I have some lovely pics of the castle. We went straight on Peter Pan’s Flight which was a nice ride, then on Dumbo then onto It’s A Small World which we did twice. We then had a wander to Big Thunder Mountain. There was only the last carriage available and ds wanted to sit at the back despite me telling him it would be fast. Well, from the moment we set off it seemed to hurtle! I felt so mean, arm round ds holding him to me hearing him almost cry at parts of it. Safe to say, he didn’t like it. I then took him on Phantom Manor LOL (seeing Mickey on the way). He was ok with that but told me he didn’t like it. It broke down half way round so the lights came on which helped him realise it was just a ride.
We then headed over to Discoveryland to do buzz, we saw Stitch on the way and have a nice pic with him. Went on Buzz which was fab, about a 25 min wait then went on Star Tours which had a 5 min wait. The queues were good that day. We went to have a go on the railroad which I can’t say I was all that impressed with really. After that we went for a look around Adventure Land then it was time for dinner at Cafe Mickey so left there, seeing Jack Sparrow on the way. I have a couple of great shots of ds with him. Was booked for 6:15 but it was a while before we were seated. Can’t say I was impressed with the meals at the price they were. Have some nice pics from it though. After that we went back to the hotel for some sleep! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Day Two
Went for breakfast and hit the park for about 8:45. Did Dumbo, Peter Pan then the carrousel. Unfortunately the weather got worse and we had our light coats on and ds was freezing so we went back to the hotel for our winter coats. Getting back in was a nightmare! Queues was massive for security. Finally got back in about 11am. Had a little look under the castle at the dragon and the glass blower in the boutique. Went for lunch at Agrabah Cafe which was nice, although I think the plates for the main dish were the same as the starter I think, so a bit small, unless I missed the proper size ones lol. Ds loved my mint tea which was annoying as it was MINE!
We then went on Buzz and Star Tours again, both had ran out of the fast pass and had huge queues. After those we went on Pirates of the Caribbean. Ds didn’t like the drops in it, the wuss. We got a coffee from the main street, getting the souvenir option with a double coffee, a large plastic takeout mug with a pic on it to keep, and a couple of Mickey buns. Not bad for 6 euros. We had another wander around then went back to the hotel to pack, not bothering with tea. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Day Three
Got up a bit late and didn’t bother with breakfast. Went on the usual rides again, the queues didn’t seem so bad that day. Went on Autopia which ds really liked. I didn’t think he could sit in the driver’s seat but he was allowed. Bought ds a cowboy hat to go with his outfit then went to the Cowboy Cookout for lunch. It was great in there as we were seated right opposite the stage where live music was playing. Goofy kept tapping my back and turning away which amused ds. Got some nice pics of ds with Woody and co. After that we went to Disney Studios park. We saw Stitch Live. Ds loved that as Stitch was talking to him, although I had to answer for ds as well.
We got to see the Stars and Cars parade and Mary Poppins spotted ds with his cowboy hat. That was sweet. After that we saw the Parachute drop which ds wouldn’t go on then went to do the Slinky ride. Ds heard screams and didn’t want to do it lol but he was fine with it and enjoyed it. Last thing we did was Armageddon as it started raining. Was a bit rubbish really and regret it being the last thing we did.
Ended up going to the Disney Village an hour earlier than I thought, bought ds plenty of toys and souvenirs and had something to eat at Earl of Sandwich which I thought was good value. After that we went back to Santa Fe to wait for the coach, spending a bit more money there.
Annettes I’m sure was open the first evening but closed the rest of our stay (would have loved a Knickerbocker Glory type dessert from there), the Castle was closed to venture up the stairs and the stunt show wasn’t open. We did do a lot of the rides we wanted to do more than once. Some things we missed but nothing special I don’t think. Also we didn’t really snack all that much so even though we had all that activity we didn’t fuel up much between meals.
All in all, it was an amazing holiday despite the rain, I can’t say it spoiled the hol as it was so much fun! Can’t wait to do it again, when ds will be more brave haha.
