Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

We really want to take our daughters aged 6 and 2 to DLP, but I like to get a good deal wherever I go! Ideally we would like to around the 22nd June, my eldest's birthday, but unsure how many nights/days we can get away with. Also is it worth paying more to stay in the better hotels, providing we have a free shuttle to the park I'm happy.
i like to get a good deal for DLP too. I have never paid for any of the higher starred onsite hotels, you get similar perks at all of the onsite hotels and all of them provide a clean room, breakfast and access to Extra Magic Hours (definitely worth doing with the ages of your children).
you can get a very good taste of DLP on a first trip going for 2 nights and 3 days (if you can arrive before lunch on your first day and leave as late as possible on your 3rd). 3 nights/4 days is better, and avoid weekend days altogether.
If you want to go when the parks are as quiet as they're going to get in June, you'd be best picking midweek w/c 11th June, as after that Spanish and Italian schools start their summer holidays, followed soon after by the French. All those nationalities being on holiday means the parks are busier.0 -
back from a fab,fun filled wkend
weather was mostly good with bits of rain too! saw tonnes of characters out and about and managed to ride lots of rides in one day ( inc Crush which we havent done for the last few trips as wait time was always 75 mins +
)
Fab stay @ The Kyriad and would definitely stay there again, and very easy stressfree transfers with RS transports
flew for the first time Bristol - CDG ,which was fab

This will be our first time to EuroDisney with our 6 and nearly 4 year old. we don't know whether to book the Hotel Cheyenne, or Davey Crockett lodges, can see perks for both!
Can we still get into the park early if staying at the Lodge?
Would everyone recommend a meal plan?? Looking at the half board option!
We are looking at going during the June half Term week as hoping (apart from Brits) that it might be quieter!
Any tips MUCH appreciated :j0 -

yes you still get extra magic hours if staying at Davy Crockatts - if you're driving I'd stay there, its got a pool which the Cheyenne doesn't have, and its apparently got a much better dinner restaurant there too than at the Cheyenne.
nope, definitely wouldn't recommend a meal plan of any description if you're staying at Davy Crockatts, as you can cook in your cabin (another major advantage over any of the onsite hotels at DLP).0 -
Thank you, Yes we are driving as we live in Germany at the moment. We like the sound of having the extra space at the Cabins, but the only downside we can see is having to drive each day. Would you say this is an issue to worry about?0

i wouldn't have thought so, its only 15 minutes drive to the parks, and if you're doing Extra Magic Hours you'll be close to the front of the car park each day.0 -
Just looking at buying the meal package online for CafeMickey, but don't think we will eat all the courses. can we just book a table and choose off the menu ie: just a main and a drink, not the full 3 courses as in a package?0

yes you can - at Cafe Mickey you can even order a couple of pizzas and sides to share between you all (the pizzas are huge). Ordering from the a la carte works out cheaper than the meal package at Cafe Mickey.

thanks for the response to the phineas and ferb question, out of curiosity my little brother is fussy and do you remember off the top of your heads anywhere that has chicken goujons / chicken strips or breast nuggets.
he doesnt like mcdonalds chicken nuggets but will eat chicken selects and similar style nuggets out of pure chicken breast.
only 6 days untill we go and feel much more organised this time x0 -
