Is Paris too far? What time do the trains stop and does anyone know the prices?
The last RER trains to/from Paris stop some time around midnight I think (it's RER line A if you want to have a search for a timetable), so you wouldn't have much time there by the time you've got out of the parks and done a 45 minute journey each way.
If you did fancy it though, &/or were leaving DLP a little earlier one evening, it's about 14 Euro for a day travel pass (Mobilis zones 1-5) including use of the metro within Paris itself...Marne la Vallee to central Paris is something like 7 Euro each way if you buy single tickets so not much, if any difference.
There is a company who does night time tours of Paris picking up from the Disney hotels - can't remember if I read about it on here or another forum. I'm sure they left DLP at something like 9pm so it might be an option...no idea of costs etc though, I'll try and remember where I read it / what they're called!!0 -
Thats exactly when I went BalletShoes; Thursday to Sunday. Also doing the same weekend this year Thurs 15th - Sun 18th March; hopefully it wont be too busy.
Where did you go once the parks shut then Balletshoes?
I generally did the shops in the village for about 30 mins then went back to the hotel, spent about 10/15 mins in the bar (not a drinker really plus obviously had the children with me) then was off to bedJust want to find something else to do - dont mind keeping the kids up (we're on holiday
) but dont just want to have to be in a bar if you get what I mean.
my kids were 9 and 10, so we had dinner in the Village or one of the onsite hotels after the parks closed at 8pm. we went to Cafe Mickey one evening, we didn't get out of there until after 10pm, so it was straight back to the room and bed. If we were earlier to the hotel after dinner, we'd watch some tv, have nice long hot baths etc, ready for another day (we did EMH every morning so were up pretty early).
I don't particularly like hanging around in bars with kids either - but I have to say I did treat my DD to a kids cocktail in the Sequoia Lodge bar one trip and that was great, lovely place to relax and a big roaring fire.0 -
I haven't read the thread, so I'm sure someone has already said, but in case they haven't... Make sure you ask to sit near the fireplace when you go into the restaurant. You're then right by where they dance, which my girls LOVED! That meal was the best part for me, their faces were priceless.
Thankyou so much, she is so looking forward to it, she has picked out her outfit, my sis has made her a ariel costume that I can put trousers and jumper over till we get in lol0 -

Eurostar and hotel (Adagio via their own website) booked for our first DLP trip in June. I'm now wondering about tickets. They have a five days for the price of 4 at the moment. Is this likely to be a short term offer and I should grab it now, or is it always available?
Thanks to everyone - this is such an amazingly useful thread!!!0 -

how much are the 4-day tickets? as you may be better off with fantasy annual passes instead. check out DLRPMagic for their annual pass information, including blackout dates and discount privilages. you could even do a mix of annual passes for the adults and 4-day passes for the kids, if that works out better value.
eta - heres the annual pass link on DLRPMagic -

Thanks for the useful info guys - I looked into the evening coach tour and its abit over my budget
May leave DP early though and go into Paris for diner with the kids though - the train pricing seems reasonable.
Ohhh, a few of us are going at the same timeI'll see you there lol

Hopefully get all booked up tomorrow as its a bit of a mess for us as we stay in NE scotland and prices from Aberdeen are ridiculous for flights, so got something worked out, Aberdeen to luton, luton to paris next day, 3 nights at DLP, then home Paris to Birmingham, birmingham to Aberdeen. Now once you have got your head round that, its actually £500 cheaper this way, plus we get a day out in london into the bargain as well. Tried to get a direct flight for the way home but £300 more expensive direct to Aberdeen than going to birmingham first! (CRAZY STUFF), Anyway still have a bit of work to do on my mum and dad as they are 68 and 72 years old and are pulling the (aargh too old for all that) stunt, im just hitting them with your 2 year old grandaughter would like you there emotional blackmail stunt LOL!0
