Am I right that I read on here somewhere that there is a discount for the wild west show either shareholders or for those whose birthday month it is?

its for annual pass holders - if you hold an annual pass, you get a free ticket for Buffalo Bills Wild West show in your birthday month, and you can buy discounted tickets at 35 euros each for your guests to go with you.

Also, I cant seem to find the information on the shareholders discount in the restuarants etc so can someone please tell me? I think getting some shares make things abit cheaper as there are 10 of us going (3 families, plus 1 extra person) and we are bringing with us 1700 euros altoether so Im wondering if becoming a shareholder would be worth it for the discount? Thanks guys

you get a straight 15% discount off your bill with your shareholders club discount, at all participating table and buffet restaurants at DLP. you also get 10% off your purchases at Disney stores UK, and 15% discount on your souvenirs shopping at DLP. also, you and up to 4 members of your immediate family, or you and up to 3 friends, can access Salon Mickey each morning from 9am until noon, for free hot drinks and pastries/cookies.

Many thanks to everyone for all the really helpful advice.

I was planning on booking a break in June directly with DLP, but found that the original price of £885 went up by over a hundred pounds the next day so I've spent ages trying to find a better price. I finally booked a better deal through an offer on travelzoo (5% discount available), but was a bit worried as it is a company I'd never heard of before - World Travellers. I've checked out their details and they are a member of ABTA and seem legit (please don't post to tell me they aren't!). I booked the eurostar tickets separately, so managed to save around £40 on the original quote.

One word of advice to people if they are booking the hotel separately from eurostar - if you want to have access to the disney express service then you need to make sure that at least one part is booked with disney or an affiliated company. I got a competitive quote from Eurostar for the hotel and train, but they could not provide disney express and disney would not do it either (World Traveller did provide the option though at a cost of £16 per adult, children free).

I'm so excited...just need to make sure that I don't accidently tell the kids as hoping to keep it a surprise!

Where from and how do I buy the shares? Sorry, but I really have no idea.

if you are in the UK, the best value sharedealing account (as it has no yearly admin fee) is the Halifax online sharedealing account. You buy your shares (minimum 5, and 20 or more if you don't want to pay the 30euro shareholders club admin fee). once you have your shares, you'll find in your sharedealing account your contract note. the instructions on how to apply for you shareholders club membership are on the site i gave the link to earlier. and thats it really, once you have your shareholders card you can start using it for discounts/salon mickey etc.

hi all, I'm hoping to book a disney hol for March through a coach company today. Woohooo. I've a couple of questions that i hope someone can help with.

What's the best option for meals for myself and my son. He is four and eats like a sparrow so I don't want to be wasting money on food he isn't going to eat.

Can I take snacks in or is that not allowed?

The coach company is charging more than disney for the buffalo bill show. Can i book that through disney when i arrive, or on the phone as a lone booking? Which would be best to do?

Thanks in advance for any help. x

I personally havent had any experience of transfers but as I have read all about it here for my sister who will be flying when we go in March. From what I understand, there are 3 options; the VEA (coach), the TRV (train) and private/ shared shuttles (basically taxis). They are all many similar in price 40-50 euros for a family of 1 adult, 2 children (this price is if you use shared shuttle- this basically means another family will be picked up at the same time but sometimes you end up getting it to yourself anyway - private shuttle is more exensive). The real difference lies in the time, the VEA coach is the slowest and takes about 1.5 hrs, the train the fastest which takes about 10 mns and the shuttle taking about 45mins to 1 hr (depending on traffc).

With the train you need to time it right to allow yourself time to come through customs get your bag etc , walking to train terminal (not far from arrivals and well signposted so I read) so booking can be a little dissicult especially if your flight gets delayed etc, because I understand that if you miss it that you wil need to rebuy your tickets. But obviously this is the fastest way and like I said there isnt much difference in the prices of all 3 options.

What my sister has decided to do is book a shared shuttle when she arrives (just incase she takes long with bags etc) as the company everyone recommends on here (http://www.rstransports.com/) are apparently very good with waiting etc and are only a couple of mins away from the airport and take your flight number etc so will be aware if your late etc. When shes leaving she will get the train as its so quick.

Re eating - There are 19 euro burgers but you can also get a full meal for 10 euros (includng drinks) at some of the counter service restuarants; plus not forgetting Mcds which is priced as it is here (I think me and my 2 kids meals came to about 13 euros). You can do Cafe Mickey (the charcter restuarant) on a budget by getting a pizza and a couple of sides between you to share rather than going for their 'set menu'. You can also bring snacks etc in your bag from outside (there is a little shop in the train station just outside the main park where you can buy reasonably priced snacks/ drinks). You can also bring a botte of squash and use the inpark water fountains to fll up little bottles for the kids when they run out - this will save you alot especially as your going in July.
http://www.dlrpmagic.com/ have full restuarant menus so you can see all the prices etc. Have a look round this site - its very helpful! Also check out http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/advice/money-saving-tips/ for mor info on doing Disney on a budget. Hope this helps :)

I hope my above post answers your questions about snacks etc.
Re eating - my friend had the same problem as her child was only 2 and disnt eat much at all. None of the restuarants she asked had any problem with provided her with a small side plate and she shared with her daugther. This combined with snacks should be fine for him; ps you can bring snacks/ drinks from England if getting on the Eurostar - theres no limit on this - it is different on the plane of course.

Re Buffalo bil - I dont know for sure but I cant see why you couldnt book it with disney once you arrive. You can book things upon check-in ( I think) or at the Town hall.

Thanks for the advice. Yep you've answered my question re: food for the lil man. It'll probably be Mac D's most times then lol. I'm going for 4 nights/3 days and one of those will be the Wild West show. I'm hoping he fills up on breakfast and we'll just have snacks and fruit til tea.

I've seen earlier in the thread that I should be able to book the Wild West show cheaper online somewhere so will look at doing that once I've booked the actual hol.
