    hi

like everybody i am trying to book on a budget and was just after some advice please, i am looking at booking sequioa for 4 days/3 nights, flying from leeds bradford on 19th july. thats the easy bit, i am now worrying about transfers from the airport as i have read some bad reviews on the LEA shuttle i think its callled and was wopndering if anybody knew of any alternatives,

there are lots of alternatives - shared and private shuttles with rstransports, ezyshuttle, tioshuttle etc etc. theres the TGV high speed train too (check sncf or rail europe for details) but that might not be ideal with luggage and a 2-year old.

also on the eating side i have a 7 and 2 year old and was wondering what everyone did for their dinners as i have heard some horrendous stories of £19 for a burger etc (if they are true of course), is there anything near that would be cheaper

again, lots of options. there are many counter service restaurants in the Village, including McDonalds and Earl of Sandwich etc. it depends what you prefer to do - if you prefer not to have table service or buffet service, stick to counter service. you don't have to order meal deals either (although the kids ones aren't bad value at all really, at under 6 euros each). you can also get deals of a sandwich/platter and a drink at various stands around the parks for around 8 euros (its the drinks prices which are expensive, around 3 euros for a 500ml bottle of Coke etc). take what you can with you in your luggage for snacks etc, you are allowed to take food into the parks with you. you can also buy sandwiches/drinks etc far more cheaply at the Relay convenience store just inside the train station at the gates to DLP, than in the parks themselves.

    thanks

    hope this helps,

eta - onriebaby's reply above is spot on lol.

Thanks for the advice. Yep you've answered my question re: food for the lil man. It'll probably be Mac D's most times then lol. I'm going for 4 nights/3 days and one of those will be the Wild West show. I'm hoping he fills up on breakfast and we'll just have snacks and fruit til tea.

I've seen earlier in the thread that I should be able to book the Wild West show cheaper online somewhere so will look at doing that once I've booked the actual hol.

Thanks for reminding me about this as I will be going to see this show too. The link is https://www.booktickets.disneylandpa...d=32454335543R
Tickets are 30 - 39 euros until March. You need to choose France as your country and then use google to translate. This bits confuses me - anyone know where to send the tickets to? It asks for a French adress but others have said that puting an England addres works fine - anyone know? This is the forum where I got the info http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2628879

I'm going to Disneyland! I'm going to Disneyland! I'm going to be skint!!!! Wohoooo

Booked today and sooooo excited, a lot more excited than my son! Can't blinking wait.

Talked to the woman taking my booking about the Wild West show and she said, with a four year old, it'd probably be a bit much after a busy day and to save my money. She thinks we'll both be in bed by 8pm... hmmmm. Decided to take her advice and save myself £65.

Going on 15th March so I'll be there during the weekend. Not what I'd hoped but nevermind.

Anyone have an idea of what rides and attractions for the younger kids will be like at that time of year, and at the weekend then? Are they likely to be very busy?

    congrats on the booking!
they'll be busy at the weekend, so do EMH every day if you can, as the rides which are open in EMH are geared more towards young children anyway.
there are things you can do to entertain your little one apart from rides on the weekends if its silly busy on Saturday and Sunday. when we're there on weekends we have our main meal in the Village etc at lunchtime, to get away from the parks at their busy times. we also go to the Disneyland Hotel at 4pm (you can do this both days if you like it) - they have a little character dance and meet n greet sesson there on the weekends and its always a much easier way of meeting the characters than in the parks. also do the shows in the studios on busy days - you only need to be at the entrance to those 10 minutes or so before they start. Animagique, Stitch Live, Playhouse Disney Live, Stunt Show with Lightning McQueen etc etc etc. on weekend days the main park may be open until 9pm or 10pm, so your travel agent is probably right - you won't have time to fit in the Buffalo Bills show this trip lol.

Thanks for the info, but what is EMH lol? I've been looking at the Disney site showing bits to my son and he likes the look of the stunt show, which I think has McQueen in it. As he's small, I'd prefer to get good seats for it so he has a good view. Would I have to queue early or are all the seats fairly good?

Thanks. :) Got the price from the french website, think it was 78 euros which works out about £65. Two tickets, one for me and my son, 2nd cat rating.
