Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi folks, We're looking to book a trip to dlp in June 2012, and looking to get best discount. First looked just before Christmas, and were offered 30% discount on the dlp site, but didn't book, as couldn't get Eurostar tickets. Now decided to drive, but for same hotel/dates now only showing 25%. How often do these discounts change? Is it worth waiting for it to change in the hope of getting 30% again, or should I book now whilst there is availability? Plans are Hotel Cheyenne, 03/06/2012 for 5 nights, 6 days. 2 adults, 2 kids (5 & 7).
All advice gratefully accepted, as this will be first Holiday out of UK and huge expense for us.
Cheers.
You could try www.disneylandparisdirect.com, looks like its a bit cheaper. I got £1048 on the DLP website and £985 on this site. I've booked through them, and found them to be helpful..0 -

I haven't read the thread, so I'm sure someone has already said, but in case they haven't... Make sure you ask to sit near the fireplace when you go into the restaurant. You're then right by where they dance, which my girls LOVED! That meal was the best part for me, their faces were priceless.0 -

Can anyone recommend hotels nearby? i have tried to read through this thread but its so huge i cant find exactly what im looking for.
the 4 nearest hotels (with free shuttle buses to the parks) are the Explorers, Dream Castle, Magic Circus, and Kyriad. I've stayed at all of them except the last, and its on my list for next trip. They are all great, Explorers is best for children.
there are lots of options - have a google around for disneyland paris hotels, val d'europe, bussy st georges. both of the latter are only 1 and 2 stops (ie less than 10 minutes) by very frequent and cheap RER train to and from the gates of DLP.0 -
All booked
, had trouble with the website though, took me a few attempts to get it all to go through, kept saying page could not be displayed grrr.
Anyway i have recieved a reciept notification email. Am i right in thinking that another email will follow ? This one is just a one page email. When we went in november we got another one that had an attachement on it to print. Does this normally take a while to come. ( i got my reciept at 3pm), after my trouble booking im feeling all paranoid, lol0 -

Yes, you'll get another email with the confirmation in an attachment.
Just checked my emails and I received the reservation email at 5.30 pm, shortly after I booked, and the confirmation email was sent at 11.30am the following day.0 -
I am returning to DP in March and cant wait. Last year was my first trip and I didnt actually realise that I miss loads of things in March due to it being between seasons and only just realised after catching up on the recent pages
Going to make sure I go later in the year next year. Also read what you said about it being really busy last St Patricks Day Balletshoes (whch is when I also went) and I thought it was pretty quiet - shows how much I know!
Last time I never ventured offsite but due to the early March closing times (was 8pm last year) I think I will go to the local shopping mall after closing to eat this time round. I checked online and it seems that the restuarants are open to midnight - can anyone confirm this please? Also does anyone have any idea what kind of restuarants there are there and the prices? I think I remember someone mentioning a Chinese which would be nice.
Also is there anywhere else to go locally after 8pm park closing. Is Paris too far? What time do the trains stop and does anyone know the prices?
Thanks guys - just dont want to end up bored in the hotel room at 9pm like I was last holiday - couldnt find any decent bars open and the Hurricane disco was closed (was that because its March?).0 -
I thought St Patricks Day itself (Thursday), the following day, and the whole weekend was busy - but thats because I'm used to going midweek low season, and not queueing for anything for more than about 20 minutes
. We didn't go home until Monday evening, and Monday was more like what I'm used to as far as crowds (or lack of) go.
Hurricanes is no more, it hasn't been open for a couple of years. I can't help with the restaurants in val d'europe, we never venture far out of the Disney bubble, even when we're staying offsite.0 -
Thats exactly when I went BalletShoes; Thursday to Sunday. Also doing the same weekend this year Thurs 15th - Sun 18th March; hopefully it wont be too busy.
Where did you go once the parks shut then Balletshoes?
I generally did the shops in the village for about 30 mins then went back to the hotel, spent about 10/15 mins in the bar (not a drinker really plus obviously had the children with me) then was off to bedJust want to find something else to do - dont mind keeping the kids up (we're on holiday
) but dont just want to have to be in a bar if you get what I mean.
