    Hi,

Would anyone be able to give me an idea of the best price I should expect to pay for a three night break (four days in the park) to dlp in May/June this year. It would be for four people (two adults plus a 4 and 6 year old), travelling on the direct eurostar train and staying at one of the cheaper resort hotels (cheyne or santa fe). The best price I can find is around £885 but it seems really expensive to me...although I understand going to dlp isn't a cheap option! Cheers, Happi

My query is similar to this one were looking to stay slightly later in July most probably though the first week in august is an option but there are only 2 adults going. Played about with Disneys website last night and cheapest i could get was £788 at the santa fe for 3 nights. We have to go during summer holidays because im a teacher. I know Disneys not cheap but nearly £800 seems a lot - on the other hand it says 30% of.

    Any thoughts are welcome
  • Hi, been a while since been on here! Am off to DLP in March and can't wait :-) Just wondered if anyone knows or has an idea how I can find out if there is a parade etc in March? on the homepage of the DLP website it says the Magical moments festival is only until 4th March - the 20th anniversary celebrations start in April, so just wondering if that means there will be no parade etc in March?

    Thanks

i've not yet found it cheaper to stay onsite than offsite in May or June at DLP, so if you're not fussed about staying in a Disney hotel, there are loads of nearby hotels you can book yourself (look on travelrepublic etc for disneyland paris), then have a look on DLRP magic and attractiontix etc for annual passes or park tickets. Under 7s apparently go free at onsite hotels, but as you've seen, that doesn't necessarily make it a cheap trip.

also have a look on eurostar and see what price you can get for booking your transport separately yourself.

or you could drive and take the eurotunnel/ferry.

there will still be the once upon a dream parade daily in the main park, but it may be a shortened version.

there won't be a lot of entertainment/shows etc after 4th March until 1st April, as its changeover time at DLP. no hub stage or show, no Mickeys winter wonderland, no Peter Pan show etc etc, as that all belongs to the Magical Moments festival, which ends on 4th March.

again, unless you're set on staying onsite, you could get a much better deal for 2 adults, looking offsite and buying annual passes/park tickets separately, and booking your own transport separately too.

How many nights are you staying?

SL has slightly bigger rooms and the bathroom is better in that you have double sinks outside the bathroom, but the quality of the decor and comfort of the beds etc was no different really IMO.

They had more choice at breakfast - better yogurts and a bigger selection of fruit. There is table cloths on the tables and the waiting staff are more attentive than the Cheyenne or Santa Fe. They drew a little character on the table cloth for dd every day. I found it just as manic getting the food though!

There is the pool (if you have time to use it) and the bar/lounge area is more cosy if you like to have a drink in the evening.

If it was £50 for a number of nights, I'd consider it if any of the above is important to you but probably not for one night. Personally, I decided it wasn't worth the extra for our stay next week and we're off to the Santa Fe.

I hope that helps a bit.

It's only 40 sleeps until we go I'm counting too!!!! I've been looking for waterproof or ski trousers for DD how much did for them in TK Maxx?

Hi, so exciting, where are you staying and how long, we are 5 nights at thomas cook explorer hotel, as it sleeps 5 in a room.

The ski trousers ranged fro £18.99 to about £32 depending on make, ours had lots of choice and I got all mine around the £20 mark, the are fleecy on inside, so going to do a long range forecast and if weather is bad maybe only take 1 or 2 pairs of jeans and just let the kids wear the ski trousers alone, as they would wipe clean lol.

I have just booked kings cross hotel for before and after and train down to london, so looking forward to it.

Dont know whos more excited me or the kids. I want to meet eeyore as a big fan

Thanks it is £59 more for 3 night.

I am thinking perhaps don't bother. i am paying £59 for
perhaps 1 swim in the pool,
2 minutes walk closer to the park (can get the bus anyway)
slightly improved breakfast (am trying to eat it quick to get to the extra magic hours) .
We have enjoyed our stay at the cheyenne both times, :D so perhaps if it aint broke don't fix it
    :jExcited
