balletshoes wrote: »yep, i agree with all of that - cafe mickey is great for meeting the characters, and you see the biggest number of them if you do dinner there (you can buy pizza etc to share to keep the cost down). the characters come out pretty much continuously from around 6.15pm onwards for dinner.
Thats great thank you I was in 2 minds but my DD seems to know all about the character meals from her friends and is expecting to do one so no choice now but I think me & OH will share a pizza as I can see from some reviews that they are big :money:
Does anyone know what time the park normally closes on a Monday in Feb half term, they have only put the opening times up until the Sunday. I want to put Mickeys for the dinner so if it shuts early I'll book it for then, if not we could do 6:30 then pop back for an hour. I take you can go in and out of the parks ok??
Sorry another question to those who have been before, after reading on other sites it seems like the parade can be a bit of a scrum  can anyone tell me where is best to stand and how early0 -

We don't stand in any particular spot but always aim to be there 20 mins in advance, even in the quiet times we go.
It's a good idea to be next to a bin or lamppost as it stops people pushing from the one side at least. Just stand your ground and beware of people who shove their child to the front and then decide they too must come through as said child is upset at being alone (not from being shoved through a crowd of strangers with no warning of course!) And if the child is ok, they will still ruin your view by turning round every two seconds to talk to mum, or to look when mum or dad lean over your shoulder and shout 'look DD/DS!' in your ear!
Don't worry! By the time you've done the shuttle buses, character meet and greets and breakfast drinks machines, you'll be well trained in the art of being stubborn! :rotfl:
It's not that bad really - you'll love it - just don't take any rubbish from the less considerate people!0 -
Thanks for the advice OH can be pretty stubborn so I'll leave all that to him
I just wish Disney would annouce the opening times for the Monday 13th Feb so I can book Mickeys, also the parade times for February aren't on their site yet
Has anyone done Buffallo Bills? I see on Trip Advisor that some have managed to book it cheaper through French site not sure about doing that though

Hi wanted to book to go Disney for my DD's BDay in March. One question I have is we want to go on Eurostar but if we book thro the Disney site it doesn't seem to tell you if its a direct train there or not? I would prefer not to change as this is our first trip abroad with my DD and only second in like 15 years for us so we aren't very well travelled and I know my OH is a bit nervous about going!0

Nara as far as i know the train stops right at the park and they sort all your luggage and take it to the hotel for youMarch wins - Heinz sauce, 3DS game, Blu ray0

It should be the Disney train. How far have you gone with the booking - I can't remember what point they tell you about the train?
It doesn't run on Tuesday and Saturday in low season, but other days it will be that train as you automatically get Disney Express when you book through them.
If it is full, they'd have to tell you before you commit to the booking.
You know it will be cheaper to book them separately, don't you?
If you book the train with Eurostar direct, you have to pay extra for Disney Express but you can choose your seat on the train and it will almost certainly be cheaper, even when Disney are running the 30% off transport offer.
We've never used Disney Express, even when we've had it as part of our package, as we prefer to look after our own bags. Our room has always been ready as we've got off the train, at every hotel we've stayed in.0 -
The train is direct to the park, but if you want your luggage sorted, you have to arrange that in advance (this is so worth it, that way you can go straight into the park as they will give you your tickets onboard the train and you can check in to the hotel whenever). There may be a stop for further boarding, but passengers don't change.0

It's never stopped when we've been on it (except for the year we had a long delay), but it obviously stops at Ashford if you get on in London.
Has it stopped in France when you've been on it?0 -
I didn't say it stopped in France, did I? I was merely pointing out that it will stop (at Ashford) for further boarding, and that there are no changes AS the person asked.0

I didn't say you did! I was asking out of interest! Sorry if it came across as antagonistic - I certainly didn't mean it that way!0
