if its park-hopper tickets you have (I'm pretty sure thats what you get with the Sun offer), I'd go to the Studios first (will you get to DLP by 9.30am?). Crush coaster, Rock n Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror and RC Racer are all in that park.
Then I'd take him to the main park and ride Big Thunder Mountain (loads of times, its great fun). Pirates of the Caribbean is great fun, so is Phantom Manor. The main parade is in this park every day at 5pm too, don't miss it. Theres Mickeys Winter Wonderland show every day too (not on Mondays or Tuesdays though) and character meet n greets if your son would be interested in that kind of thing.

I've done it so we fly in during the day, have dinner check out the hotel pool then wake up there and head straight to the parks
Thanks for your advice, I haven't been to the second park yet so that's all new for me!
Thanks again! :beer:0 -
Yey, had an email today confirming one of the days for our booking with The Sun offer...can breathe a sigh of relief now that I know we have at least one day of tickets sorted :T
Only posted the second form off on Monday as I kept forgetting to sort it out - the closing date is 23 December so really hoping it gets to them in time with the Xmas post
Also after much searching I finally found a hotel for our 2 nights in Paris itself which gets good reviews, is in a good location and didn't break the bank (€144 total for a Sat & Sun night, so about £60/night at the current exchange rate) so it's been a good week on the trip planning front!
So excited now we have everything sorted - I can finally start getting properly in the Disney mood!!0 -
Hello everyone,
The dilemma
2 adults and 2 kids going to be aged (1-4 in feb 2012)
Have the sun offer deal
want to book a 2 night stay but dont know wheter to do this @ nearby disney land or in paris. never been there so 1st time. How far is disneyland from paris airport?
Dont want to spend anything but thats never going to happen so have set a budget to pennies only joking you know what i mean...your help would be appreciated.
oh the above was the dilemma0 -
if your main reason for going to the Paris area is to go to DLP, then get a hotel near DLP. There are loads in val d'Europe, Bussy St Georges, and check the prices for the associated hotels at DLP too (Explorers, Dream Castle, Magic Circus, Kyriad) on various agents websites and their own websites too.
val d'Europe and Bussy St Georges are only one and 2 stops respectively from DLP on the very frequent RER trains (ie every 10 minutes or so there is a train going to and from these stations to DLP).
The associated hotels have their own free shuttle buses going back and forth to the parks all day every day.
eta - DLP is around 40 minutes drive from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. There are private shuttles, shared shuttles, VEA coach and TGV train to choose from for getting to and from the airport and DLP.0 -

you'd really need to look at the prices for each one of the main 3 methods, for your party size. RS transport offers a shared shuttle price, and you may not have to share at all. The TGV train has peak and off peak prices (you can check prices etc on the rail europe of sncf websites) and the VEA coach is a set price of 18 euros per adult one way, and 13 euros per child over 4 one way. Its the slowest method of transfer, at usually over an hour to get from the airport to the train station terminus at Disneyland.
You'd then use the local frequent RER trains to get back and forward from your hotel if is in val d'europe or bussy st george.0 -
Hi guys.
Well situations have changed and we can now go for a full week (yay!) and can go anytime!
It's going to be his surprise birthday trip so needs to be end of may onwards. To be honest id like to go end of may / early June so he doesn't have so long to wait after his birthday!
I'm pretty sure there are no school holidays around then and mid week is best to be quiet?
From what I can remember people recommend arriving one afternoon, spend the next 2 full days in the park (3 nights near DLP) then poss 2 spend 2 nights in actual Paris (I'm desperate to do the romantic but as well!).
Does that sound good? Would be 5 nights away which I can afford
What days are best to go?Green and White Barmy Army!0 -

Don't forget, Whitsun week (ie, late May/early June half term) is now the first week in June next year, with the first Monday and Tuesday in June being bank holidays for the Queen's Jubilee. I've read afew threads where some people have been caught out booking holidays for that week not realising that it's half term, instead of the week before (iykwim).
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Hmm good point.
Just looked and down here the first week of June is the Half Term. I assume because of the Bank Holidays this will be the case everywhere?
Plus have checked the French holidays and none of them are off end of May / June.
If I was to look at the last week in May (28th - 1st) I should be ok holiday wise? Plus thinking of hitting the park on the Monday and Tuesday. I assume (again lots of assumptions! lol) these days will be quieter?Green and White Barmy Army!0
