We've booked Airmiles flights for next June (Sun 10- Thur 14, so just after the half term, and I don't think it's the same time as any French or Spanish holidays). We'll be travelling with a 4 year old and a 6 month(ish) baby.
I haven't booked the hotel yet, but we would like to stay at either Sequoia, NY or Disneyland hotel for the 4 nights (don't really mind which, just don't want to spend over £1k).
I'm trying to work out the best booking strategy - is it worth waiting for a flash sale or 2 nights 2 nights free, or should I book as soon as there's a 1 free night or 30% off. Are the hotels likely to get booked up when we're going. We want to be close to the park with 2 young children.
Thanks in advance0 -
the 2 nights free deal has only been on winter dates, up to March, in recent years, so I don't think you'll get that deal for a June visit. 30% would be a decent discount for June.0

Scooper,
We're a family of 5. We have stay in Newport Bay once in an Admirals room, we had to book it over the phone as they don't come up on the website. It was a lovely room but expensive.
I believe Santa Fe also now have family rooms that will sleep 5 and again they don't always seem to show on the website.
The other place we have stayed is at Explorers hotel which is a partner hotel, so there are very frequent free buses running between disney and the hotel, and they do a crew room which is a room with 2 double beds and then a second atached room with bunk beds, the door between these rooms is left open so it's a bit like a an L shaped room, hope that makes sense! our children really liked explorers, great swimming pool.
Also there is Davy Crocket Ranch, but you'd need to have a car as there is no suttle buses to it.
Hope that helps0 -
balletshoes wrote: »shareholders discount of 10% is a rubbish rate to be honest. You'll get a bigger discount on a package with the official Disneyland Paris website or by calling their sales team. Typically you get one night free, kids free, or up to 40% off on a package through the website, so booking with shareholders discount would be poor in comparison. Shareholders discount can't be combined with any other discount or offer Disney do for DLP on their official website.
shares are great as a long-term investment, but unless you are going to be spending a tonne of money in the restaurants and shops in your first trip, maybe it would be a better idea to book a good offer on the official website, see if you like DLP enough to want to return frequently, and then look into shares as an investment?
Halifax online sharedealing account is very easy to sort out, and its easy to buy your shares through them too.
Thanks for the help. Will probably not bother with the shares in that case!0 -

I got a buy 2 nights get one free and children under 12 stay for free for June of this year. I booked this in April directly with Disney. Total cost for hotel and park tickets (1 adult and 2 children) was £315.0 -

Hi
We are a family of 4, children aged 7 and 8, off to DLP in two weeks for a midweek 3 day / 2 night break with our works social club. We are staying at the Cheyenne with continental breakfast provided.
Never been to DLP and would appreciate any tips that would make the trip a great one. Where should we eat / can we upgrade to half board before we go or once we arrive.
All advice greatly received

It really depends how much you want to spend and what sort of food you like.
I've always said I couldn't see the point in paying for a character meal, but we went to Cafe Mickey last time we were there and it was well worth the price! We had standard half board tickets and paid a bit extra to eat there. It really was fabulous - we were there the best part of three hours and didn't stop laughing at the characters!
I don't think there is any saving with the half board meals now, but it helps with budgeting to pay before you go. You can order up to the day before you travel, as far as I am aware.
We are quite happy to eat our evening meal at the Cheyenne or Santa Fe. We aren't very adventurous with food and it means we can all have what we want without any fussing.
The best value meal in the park is the fish and chips at Toad Hall imo. DH and I can share a portion and still be full.
Most days, we take rolls made up at breakfast and take a flask of hot chocolate into the park with us but, again, it depends how much money you are willing to part with and what your priorities are.
The waffles (from the carts) are disgusting imo and I'd avoid them like the plague, although they smell very tempting!
Hope that helps a bit - trouble with food is everyone will tell you different!0 -
Hi all
Looking for any feedback/advice - all appreciated!
Have never been to dlp before but thinking of a 2 night trip end Nov 2 adults, 2 kids.
Have had a quote for £1233 for filghts, transfers, hotel Santa Fe, tickets & b&b.
Any thoughts? Sound ok?
Thanks!
