    Hi.

I'm looking at taking our daughter for her birthday (she'll be 2), for two nights (15th and 16th of December).

I'm being quoted around £1000 for the two nights at the Disneyland Hotel.

Is it worth paying to stay here? Can we still get her breakfast with Mickey, etc. if we stay somewhere cheaper?

I don't mind paying it if it's an unmatchable experience, but I won't pay it just for the privilege of staying over the entrance kiosks!

    Any advice would be great.

I've never stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, so can't compare it to any other hotel onsite or nearby.

Regardless of where you stay though, you can visit any of the hotels public areas (bar, restaurants, reception area, gift shop) including the ones at the Disneyland Hotel. There are several character meal locations at DLP, and again, anyone can book for those, regardless of where you are staying.
  • Hi,

We are booked to go to Disney from the 11/12-14/12. Staying in Cheyenne.
We are planning on spending the last day of the visit in central Paris, so my son can see the Eiffel Tower etc.

Having looked at prices of transfers from CDG and RER fares into central Paris, I've come to the conclusion that the cheapest and easiest way to do this would be 4 days car hire, picking up and dropping off at the airport. Prices seem to start at around E30 a day.

Does anyone have any opinions or experience of doing this? Any opinions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Thanks. I decided to bite the bullet and go for a Castle Club room at the Disneyland Hotel. I reckon the Character Breakfasts every morning, VIP Fastpass for the rides and the direct elevator straight into the park makes the premium worth paying.

I'll let you know if it wasn't!

Maestro2001... Personally I hate driving in central Paris. Plus parking can be an absolute nightmare and £££. Even if I did decide to rent a car, I'd only drive from CDG to Disney, and then on the last day I'd still get the RER into Paris, do the day in Paris, and the go back to Disney on the RER to pick up the car at the end of the day. That's how much I despise driving in Paris. Particularly during peak times. In the snow and ice. Whilst the Xmas markets are on. *Shudder*
  • Thanks Warrick. I see you're going around the same time as me, I'm sure you'll enjoy the Disneyland Hotel.

I may research a station we could park at on the outskirts of Paris and then go on from there to CDG in the evening.

I'm heading to Paris later this week with my 2 children. We were planning to go to EuroDisney for the day on Friday. I am wondering what is the cheapest way for me to buy tickets? I was going to buy them from the website and get 15% off, but I read that if I buy a visite pass for the trains (which I will) I get 20% off Disney tickets. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, does this mean I have to queue when I get to the park to buy tickets and do I run the risk of there being no tickets available?

    Many thanks!
  • T minus 6 hours and we're off to DLP.
There's 5 of us, so we've (hopefully) gone the cheapest way.
Bought 10 hopper passes with our clubcard vouchers, booked the hotel direct, cost £250 for 3 nights (£220 with £30 cashback) and crossing with P and O ferries for £55 return.
SeaFrance are on strike this week, so they actually saved me £10 as my crossing with them was £65 ;-)

Taking nearly all our own food as apartment has hob and microwave.

Didn't realise it was French school hols though, hope it's not too busy.

If the official site are offering 15% off, then go via quidco and you'll get another 5.5% off. Ok, it's not quite 20%, but it saves the worry.

The chances of them selling out of tickets are pretty low; their capacity is huge. Still, having per booked tickets means you'll be queuing less than if you turned up without tickets.

Make sure you make use of the Fastpass tickets for the popular rides as well - Fastpass tickets for Peter Pan's flight are usually the first to run out, so get there early if this is a ride you're interested in.

Thanks for that! Do I have to buy the fastpasses once I get there then? I can't pre buy them?

You can buy the tickets through topcashback as well, although I don't think it's quite as much as quidco.
