Hi guys, also looking for an answer to the above questions (if anyone knows) as I am thinking about going here when I return in March. Also as its in the park, does that mean it closes when the park closes? Anyone know if this is even open in March? as I didnt see it open this March just gone. thanks everyone :)

Cowboy Cookout changed in April this year to a fully character venue. Its either character lunch (counter service) at 26 euros per adult and 13 euros per child (this goes from just before noon until 3pm each day) or its character tea party, usually from 4.30pm til 6pm. I can't remember how much this is, its about 15 euros per person I think, and its a dessert buffet and soft/hot drinks. Those are the only times Cowboy Cookout is open now, regardless of when the park closes.

Thank you Balletshoes :) Do you know if its any good? And if it needs to be booked in advance?

Character dinners are great - if you like the characters.

I've always said it's totally worth the money to see the kids' faces when they meet Mickey or Goofy. If you've got a little girl who loves princesses, can you imagine her excitement to have dinner with Cinderella in her castle? That's when it's worth the money.

Character dinners are done primarily at Cafe Mickey (in Disney Village), Cowboy Cookout (in the park) and Auberge de Cendrillon (the princess dinner in the castle.
Cafe Mickey does breakfast lunch and dinner, whilst the two in the park do lunch and sometimes dinner if the park is open late enough.

Inventions restaurant in the Disneyland Hotel also has characters there a lot of the time but it's NOT a guaranteed character interaction restaurant.

Booking is reccomended for all character meals. You can just turn up and hope, but in peak season chances are you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for that! Do I have to buy the fastpasses once I get there then? I can't pre buy them?

You can buy the tickets through topcashback as well, although I don't think it's quite as much as quidco.

Sorry - I missed your question when I read this this morning.

Fastpass tickets are free. You go to the rides which operate this service (the big ones) and take a ticket. It will give you a time to return to the ride, and you go down the 'Fastpass' queue and bypass 90% of the queue. Once you've used that ticket, you can get another Fastpass ticket for a different ride.

You can buy something called a 'VIP Fastpass' which allows unlimited Fastpass access to all the rides, without waiting for your allotted time, but this costs around £90 per person I think. If you stay in a Castle Club room at the Disneyland Hotel it's free, though.
  • Hi all, Just needed some advice/help really. Myself and the family would like to visit Disneyland Paris sometime mid next year and we were wondering if it is worth becoming a member of the shareholders club to save a bit of money in the long term. Anyway just had a couple of questions and I was hoping one of you can help me answer them. :)

According to the shareholders website you can only book the hotel for 2 consecutive nights. We were hoping to go or a minimum of 3 nights so does that mean we would only get 10% off 2 nights?

Also it the website says that it cannot be combined with any other promotional offer. Does that include the kids stay and play for free and the 3 nights for the price of 2 offers?

Last question I promise! What is the cheapest and easiest way of purchasing the Disneyland Paris shares?

Thanks in advance for any help!!! :T

hope someone can help, we are looking to go maybe new year or early next year, easier for us to get a coach as the driving costs may be to much.

problem we have is that we cannot get us and 3 kids in one room so we have to pay for 2 rooms.

has anyone else had this problem, any advice appreciated.
appreciate what you have got x

Make sure you look at Eurostar before booking a coach. We've got mega deals on the train in the past, cheaper than driving, flying or packing ourselves onto a coach.

Regarding rooms for 3 children, I'm not sure you'll do this at any of the Disney hotels, but the Magic Circus hotel (still a stone's throw from Disney, with a free shuttle) has "Kids' Suites" which sleep up to 6.

Have a read of this for more information: http://www.roomfor5.co.uk/blog/?p=49

shareholders discount of 10% is a rubbish rate to be honest. You'll get a bigger discount on a package with the official Disneyland Paris website or by calling their sales team. Typically you get one night free, kids free, or up to 40% off on a package through the website, so booking with shareholders discount would be poor in comparison. Shareholders discount can't be combined with any other discount or offer Disney do for DLP on their official website.

shares are great as a long-term investment, but unless you are going to be spending a tonne of money in the restaurants and shops in your first trip, maybe it would be a better idea to book a good offer on the official website, see if you like DLP enough to want to return frequently, and then look into shares as an investment?

Halifax online sharedealing account is very easy to sort out, and its easy to buy your shares through them too.
