We just came back from DLP and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the New York, which is a great location, next to the Disney Village and the second closest hotel by walking. Characters make morning appearances from 8a.m. at that hotel, so our children met 2 a day that way.

My youngest dressed in a princess costume everyday. We brought the costumes with us as the ones in the shops are 60euros. If your child wears a Snow White costume, you can go to the exit of the Snow White ride and not join the queue.

My tip for the parades is to mark out your place with a blanket or carrier bag etc. (obviously you have to sit on it at the time, not just leave it there) This stopped people from jostling our children and encroaching their space.

We had lunch at the Cowboy Cookout, while we did meet the characters, it was a bit manic as it's not table service and big groups of teenagers were running about.

We also did lunch at Cafe Mickey, which was calmer and the kids got a plastic mickey cup to keep.

We found that ordering 1 adult meal and 1 child's meal was plenty to feed two adults and 2 young children. The meals include starters, main and dessert. (We did order 2 adult meals in Cafe Mickey, as we used our half board vouchers)

If you want to meet characters out and about, a good place is near the Casey train ride as it's a less busy area, but you need to find out the times if they are available.

The queue to see the princesses were the worst part! I'd advise if you are staying at a DLP hotel, get one adult in your party to join the queue before 10a.m. (about quarter to ten) so you can avoid being an hour in the queue.

We travelled via Eurostar, no complaints, the only thing I'd say about that is there is no lounge at Marne la Valle, once you go through customs, it's straight onto the platform, where you just sit on the train until it departs.

it is the most expensive meal option at DLP - around 60 euros per adult, and around 25 euros per child (age 3-11).

If your daughter is into the traditional Disney Princesses its the only way to meet and spend time with more than one without queueing for an hour in the park. You will typically meet Cinderella, her 2 mice Suzy and Perla, plus 2 or 3 other Princesses and one of their Princes. The food is French cuisine, for both adults and children.

My DD was never into the traditional Princesses (her faves are Jasmine and Mulan) so we've never done the Princess meal at the Auberge de Cendrillon, and over the years we have met all of the Princesses (and the mice) in Fantasyland or in the Cars n Stars Parade in the Studios. This year the Once Upon a Dream daily parade has childrens interaction in it, so she might be lucky and be picked to join the Princesses when they stop the floats for the audience participation bit :).

There is also a Princess makeover package which the Disneyland Hotel provides, it looks absolutely fabulous, but again, not cheap -

If you go to the dlp website and put in details to book, after a page will come up to add on extras, one of them is the Cinderella restaurant and it will tell you the prices, if you select it.

I have booked for dlp for January, I was considering the princess meal but dont know if my lot would enjoy the food as the menu looks quite posh:rotfl:I priced it for myself, partner and our 2 daughters and it was £150, Hope that helps for prices:)

    Going by Eurostar from London
    Hotel Must have swimming pool

apart from direct from disney site, where else should we look for tickets?

Which hotel should we aim for?

    Thanks
  • hi peeps!

We've just won a 2 night stay for 4 people at dlp through morrisons magical moments cards.

We never ever win anything and our little boy has wanted to go for sooooo long and we'll never be able to afford it so we are extremely greatful!

I need a wee bit of advice please,

How much can we pack in to these 3 days?

What things/attractions/places should we check out?

My hubby and son are massive waterpark fans, is there a waterpark there? cant seem to find anything on dlp website.

With the rides and things are these extra charges? i think 'park passes' are included in our stay.

We're awaiting our winners pack which will probably explain a few things but id like to get some inside info from people that have been!

    thankyou in advance :D
