Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

I'd book your Eurostar seats as soon as possible once you've got your hotel dates sorted - Eurostar is available usually 3-6 months in advance of travel, and the earlier you book, the cheaper it is.0

Hello
We have finally found an excuse to go to disneyland Paris
As it is our first time I aould appriciate if any body could share their experience with us.
we are 2 x Adults 1x 3yr old 1x 1yr old (both boys love Mickey & Nemo gang)
want to spend 6 or 7 nights
Earliest date can leave :6th August
Must be back by : 24th August
Going by Eurostar from London
Hotel Must have swimming pool
questions are
apart from direct from disney site, where else should we look for tickets?
Which hotel should we aim for?
Thanks
Our boys were the same age and totally loved it ! Mad Mickey and Buzz fans and now lightening McQueen lol !
Fantasyland is must and Buzz lightyear space blast - we must of went on its a small world 15 times a day ( its great )!
Dumbo is not worth the queue - so go here at parade times or at the end of the day ! All the wee rides are great in fantasyland for kids and if you go here at 8.30 or after spend the rest of the evening here and the rides are nearly walk ons - then you're first in queue for fantasia parade and then you can walk throught to get a easy exit back to hotel and still see fireworks - ( my boys slept after parade _ always missed fireworks) We let them sleep at any time during the day and got up for breakie late so they got enough sleep. ( they give you a time but you don't have to stick to it - they don't even look)
We stayed in Sequoia - ( purely based on the pool ) - and the hotel was great food was fine but the pool was dissapointing - its the one depth ( i knew this b4 going - but thought id still be able to stand in it and hold the boys ) - this was not the case - im 5 ft 1 and was too short ! If you're taller than me then Sequoia is a great choice ! For me it would have to be Newport/ new york or Sequoia just for the fact thats its a comfy stroll back outta the park !0 -
Hi again
A quick question
Anybody stayed at Viena Internation Dream Castle, Magic Circus or Thomas Cook Explorer Hotel?
I gettting quote for about £2000 including Eurostar, park tickets for 6 nights.
How are they comparing to NewPort and Sequio Hotels?
Are they TOO far? Is there any restuarant/take away near these hotels in case we did not like the food in the hotels?
thanks in advance.0 -

We have budget of £2000 and I have found some deals by googling where they offer 50% off but for 3nights stay only.
I am going to give them call tomorrow see if they can agree on booking me for 2x 3 night (6 altogather) stay at Newport/newyork hotels.
Do you know any specialist agent for selling Disney packages aprt from Disney.

Hi all, i'm planing a trip for next june, 308 days to go! i'm obsessed with planning my disney holiday thanks to this & Dis threads, I have kept reading about shareholders club & has only just sunk in that its not a bad deal especially as they have come down & i can sell them again! i would buy 20
couple of Questions ???? Why do people keep mentioning Halifax?
Do you open a shareholders account & they buy the shares for you? i bank with Natwest, are their shareholder any better worse ? i don't want to look clueless when i go!:j:j:jMoney Spending Expert! :j:j:j0 -

yes, I have stayed at 2 of them, and Dream Castle is our next trip. I'd stay at any of them over the Newport Bay Club (I wasn't impressed when I stayed there, its too big) - the Explorers has an amazing pool for children to enjoy. The Sequoia Lodge is nearing the end of its major refurbishment, so if you get a refurbed room there that might be worth looking at.

annual passes will be cheaper than park hopper tickets for 7 days - have a look on DLRPMagic for annual pass information. You could then book your Eurostar and hotel separately, not through Disney if you are considering the Dream Castle, Explorers or Magic Circus. Check out Expedia, laterooms, hotels.com, travelrepublic, alpharoom, octopus, etc etc - they all sell these hotels.

all of the hotels you've mentioned (plus the Kyriad, which doesn't have a pool) are situated at the end of the road where the onsite hotels begin, and there is a free shuttle to take you to and from the hotels, every 20 minutes throughout the day from early morning until late evening (ie around midnight).
you don't have to eat in your own hotel - thats the beauty of DLP. You can eat where you like, including at the Village, and in any of the onsite hotels, regardless of where you are staying. Certainly inside the Explorers hotel there is a pizza bar and a pastry shop, as well as the main restaurant.
thanks in advance.
its shortbreaks.com and disneylandparisdirect.com who are offering the flash sale prices for Disneyland Paris at the moment I believe. The official site/agent isn't, they did at the beginning of last month. Try both those agents, see what they can offer you.

most people mention Halifax online sharedealing account to buy these shares because of a couple of things - you can do it all yourself, sometimes they waive their buying fee of £17.50 for overseas shares, and they do trade on the overseas market - lots of companies/banks etc don't. They also do not charge a yearly admin fee for holding your shares - again a lot of other companies charge for this.
Nothing wrong with checking with your own bank, but with Halifax you know what your cost will be - the cost of your 20 shares at the time you buy them, plus the £17.50 buying fee.0 -
Thanks balletshoes for the speedy response! so i can do it online thats great! don't suppose you know how much it is to sell ? will only be doing Euro disney once , next stop Florida ( This is our first holiday in 10 years hence the obsession) but wouldn't be in a rush to sell
& are the hotels as bad as trip advisor makes out? is Disneyland Hotel a lavish expence?
Any School holidays WB 11 June? i have looked & can't see any just want to make sure! thanks:j:j:jMoney Spending Expert! :j:j:j0 -
its usually about the same to sell as it is to buy, so probably around another £17 selling fee when you do sell.
I have only been to Florida once, donkeys years ago, and we didn't stay onsite. I have no complaints about any of the onsite hotels at DLP really (although I wouldn't pay to stay at the Newport Bay Club), or the associated ones come to that.
In my experience, no hotels anywhere in the world are as bad as tripadvisor makes out. The DLH is apparently amazing - but thats way out of my budget!
As far as I know, there are no major school or public holidays w/c 11th June next year, so it would be a good time to visit DLP.0
