Thanks for prevoius answers evry1 - I was also wondering as we arrive in Paris at 9.30am and therefore should be at hotel 12/12.30 ish - would we be too early for check in? If this is the case would we be able to go to the parks? ( surely we need to check in to get tickets ) and is there anywhere to leave our luggage? Any help is very much appreciated !
you can check in at your hotel as soon as you arrive - if your room isn't ready yet you'll get your park tickets, park maps etc given to you straightaway, you can leave your luggage in the luggage store (each hotel has one) and then you can go off to the parks. Come back to your hotel in the evening and you pick up your luggage and your room key.

could have gone even cheaper if you booked using the SUN £9.50 holidays!
we stayed @ Le Chene Gris for Oct half term, using the SUN holidays and Tesco clubcard deals for the tunnel too
Ooh! I'll keep an eye open for that next time, thanks for the tip!we also used deals for the actual Disney tickets, though the coversion rate isn't great!

Have a lovely time
I didn't realise I could use Tesco deals for the tickets until I'd spent most of them on the Tunnel and the travel insurance! And I'm hyperventilating a bit about spending almost £400 for 2 days' Disney tickets. Ah well......0 -

I know that's the bummer
shop around though you may get cheaper
or you could get the cheapest annual passes Francilien for 98 euros http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/ which will allow you to return for another trip/s within the 12 months
there are blackout dates though : http://www.dlrpmagic.com/calendar/annual-passport-blockouts/
you cannot use the passes on days 2 and 3 after you have purchased them, but they could be your days in Paris instead ?

We are going to DLP in 2 weeks for the first time and I think we've managed to work out a fairly cheap holiday. We are driving, taking Eurotunnel paid for with Tesco vouchers. We will stay at Le Chene Gris campsite in a mobile home (£290 for a week 22nd - 29th May). Could have gone cheaper if we'd booked a tent. Haven't bought the actual park tickets yet but we want to go in the park for 2 days, so probably around £400 for 2 adults and 2 children. We'll also have a day or two in Paris itself and a couple of days for just chilling at the campsite. We're then driving up to Normandy for 6 nights in a cottage for £250. Bought Tesco travel insurance with Clubcard vouchers. So around £950 for a 2 week holiday in France (plus petrol). Really looking forward to it!
I would play with dates personally, you might get one night at a DLP hotel for much cheaper than £400 - and this would give you 2 days tickets, breakfast and free parking.
You can check in early, around 7.30am, and get there for extra magic hours at 8am too so get to be in the parks for longer. This is what we plan to do.
I am not sure how old your kids are but kids under 7 stay and play free so this would save you money, they do not get free parks tickets - but it would also save you driving back after theme parking. You can get cashback - 12% at Expedia - so this might make it comparable to stay rather than driving and coming back (don't forget about parking charges).
I paid £564 for 2 ad, 2 kids for 3 nights 4 days in half term.
ETA: 2 Adults and 2 under 7's in Hotel Santa Fe for one night is £348 plus 6% cashback.
EATA: Go on a Tues, Weds and Thurs the parks will be very quiet and you'll get more done. Avoid the weekends.0 -
thats a brilliant suggestion blue-monkey - you'd get such great value for money doing that over just getting 2-day park tickets for you all :T.0

DISNEY RIP OFF WARNING!
Disney has to be one of the most unethical companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Having booked a holiday in January for July with my parents, my partner and 2 kids, they have now come back with a more inflated price.
We were told when we booked that the Eurostar price was subject to change, expecting this to be marginal we went ahead with it.
The additional charge they have now charged is 20% - our holiday increasing from £2.8k to £3.3k.
They told my Dad over the phone who told them had it just have been a holiday for him he would have told them where to shove it but as he had already told his
grandchildren then he couldn't do so, particularly as he had a booking for a character breakfast for one of the kids birthday's.
When he told them their adverts encourage this they basically said so what.
He sent a letter to them outlining their unethical immoral behaviour and they emailed him back (unprofessionally) and just told him you had the chance to cancel but you didn't so tough mate.
We have now lost all of the economies of scale for booking early, which they encourage.
This has now taken the gloss off going and we certainly won't be tipping for service.
We have made Which and Watchdog aware of this as we don't want them to take others for a ride in the same way we have been.
BEWARE THIS COMPANY ARE SCUM!0 -
can you not cancel anyway? you'd only lose 10% wouldn't you, according to Disney's own terms and conditions? Or are you now within 60 days of travelling?
I personally wouldn't have accepted paying more, thats outrageous - you agreed to a price when you booked, Disney should honour it.0 -
do they really say that the price is subject to change? i dont remember this on any of our bookings and havent noticed it before. i wonder wether it is because of eurostar increases or something?
i certainly wouldnt be paying that much extra once the holiday is booked you should of agreed to that set price.0
