yes, its now a Cars themed hotel. You get 2 double beds as standard in the Santa Fe and Sequoia Lodge, its one double and a set of bunks as standard at the Cheyenne.

The rooms are slightly bigger at the Sequoia Lodge over the other 2, and the Sequoia Lodge has a swimming pool (not that we've ever found time to use a pool at DLP in October).

In my opinion, they are all, even the Santa Fe, much much nicer than travelodge :).

Hi all, I just came back from my first ever visit to Disneyland last month (went for St Patricks day weekend) and Im itching to go back. Been looking at all the prices but they seem crazy coompared to what I paid (1 adult, 2 children, 3nights and 4 days, park tickets etc all for £284). Thinking because of the prices I might just wait and go again in March next year - can anyone tell me when these dates come out? Thanks

I'm guessing it won't be until end of this month/beginning of June - I know I booked in June last year for March this year.

We stayed in the Santa Fe and I must say I was very impressed. I was slightly woried before hand but it was lovely and clean and it was only a 10min walk from the parks (and a nice walk too). Will def be going back there as it is sooo much cheaper than everywhere else and like I said, in my mind it was perfectly fine. By the way that wasnt including Eurostar - but as my dauhter is 3 and we choose to change at Lille that was only around 130 pounds - so 414 in all - i was so pleased!

Thanks Balletshoes - yeap, I think we were there at the same time. I cant wait to go back - i loved it!!

the best way i have found was booking with eurostar

tip 1 - avoid going with a disney hotel, they add at least £400 to your overall price

tip 2 - check when the cheapest days are for travelling on eurostar

tip 3 - go with trainline or raileasy to get to london from your home (in order to get on the eurostar). Plus by a railcard for friends and family £26, will save loads getting to london

tip 4 - eurostar will package you a hotel and train, not the disney tickets. book them with the official disney website.

two adults and one child, cardiff - london - disneyland £860! 3n/4d

These things are worth considering, but personally I think the best way is to look out for a good offer and the best price bands. We booked in Sept with a "2days and nights free" offer + under 12's free and went in March (we too saw the St Patricks day parade) which is obviously a cheap time of year, and of course, we were not limited by term times, at least not yet.

There were no shortage of opportunities to meet characters, particularly in Walt Disney studios, despite going between seasons.

We stayed at Newport Bay Club, in an Admirals floor room (wouldn't bother with this upgrade another time - would probably have been better to upgrade to HNY for about the same price, Doh!)
4nights, 5 days in the park for 2 adults, 3yo &1yo for about £850 including Eurostar. I thought that was a complete bargain considering it was one of the mid-range hotels. Was well worth the money. Would have been cheaper still if I had booked the Eurostar seperately and booked online through Quidco (booked a bit impulsively in Thompsons).

We did drive to Ashford though, so there were additional costs there. Fuel + Holiday Inn (hotel inc taxi to-and-from Eurostar + 5 days parking less than £100). £29 Premier Inn room on the way home.

I think I would always want to stay in a Disney hotel, worth it for me, so handy not to have far to go with two tired little monkeys.

Wasn't going to go again for 2/3 years, but all this 20th anniversary stuff sounds exciting, so maybe next Autumn... but will the celebrations run for 2 years again? :)

We are going to DLP in 2 weeks for the first time and I think we've managed to work out a fairly cheap holiday. We are driving, taking Eurotunnel paid for with Tesco vouchers. We will stay at Le Chene Gris campsite in a mobile home (£290 for a week 22nd - 29th May). Could have gone cheaper if we'd booked a tent. Haven't bought the actual park tickets yet but we want to go in the park for 2 days, so probably around £400 for 2 adults and 2 children. We'll also have a day or two in Paris itself and a couple of days for just chilling at the campsite. We're then driving up to Normandy for 6 nights in a cottage for £250. Bought Tesco travel insurance with Clubcard vouchers. So around £950 for a 2 week holiday in France (plus petrol). Really looking forward to it!
