Also - i was just wondering about food at the resort - both myself and hubbie love good grub and will pay for it - though our two wee ones are poor eaters and would just pick of our plates - how does restaurants work for a 1yr and 3 yr old? Do then check ID ? My 3 yr old is the same size as my 1yrold and both could pass for 2yr - would i be able to pass them off as under 3 and not have to pay for them?

Hi - WE booked in January for our trip to dlp in July - we are flying Ryanair ( BOO ) to Paris Beauvais and arrive at 9.30am ? I am just wondering what us the best way to get to our hotel - i've checked different options but can't really decide.

We are a family of 2 adult and 2 kids aged 1 & 3 and will have two pushchairs aswell as luggage ? TIA for any help?

We are staying in sequioa lodge too - never been to France b4 so am a bit anxious - but very excited - 2 huge mickey and buzz fans!!!

sort out a private shuttle transfer, its by far the quickest and most convenient way of getting from the airport to your hotel.

you don't have to pay at buffets or any child aged under 3, so in your shoes, I just wouldn't mention your 3-year olds age, its unlikely they will ask, and if the child is small anyway they won't ask for proof of age. If you go to a non-buffet restaurant and order a child's meal for either of your children you will be charged for it, but you can just say they will eat some of your meal, and that way you won't be charged extra.

I wouldn't worry about this at all. Our children are also 3&1 and when we booked for Auberge Du Cendrillon the concierge was the one who suggested we didn't order a meal for our 3 year old, otherwise I had been willing to fork out 25 euro for her to see lots of princesses while not eating her expensive food. The staff at the restaurant weren't bothered in the slightest.

We ordered 3yo a childrens menu in Cafe Mickey and it was a waste of money, completely ignored apart from the "buffet desert", she came back mainly with flumps and sweets. Frankly, they would have been better off sharing a bowl of chips and it would have been fine.

The only meal I feel was worth it for her was the buffet evening meal in our hotel, Newport Bay Club (though I guess you'd get something similar in all the hotels). There was plenty of choice of basic things that she could pick and choose from, sliced ham, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, salmon, hard boiled eggs, mickey shaped potato things, dolphin shaped things like fish fingers and she could keep going and getting a bit more if she wanted. There was a good varied choice for us. 1yo had a plate too. Followed by another help yourself desert selection, again consisting largely of flumps. "Help yourself tea" has been popular in our house ever since, I just put a selection of salad etc in the middle of the table and they choose what they fancy.

Most of all they enjoyed the ham/tomato rolls that were available at breakfast. They pretty much lived off those while we were there. 1yo often pokes about in my bag saying "rolls, rolls" in the hope there will be one there. Hope you have a lovely time!:)
  • My 6year old daughter wants to go to DLP to see all her favourite characters. I went when it first opened in 1992 and loved it.

Does anyone know how big the tunstiles are to get in? I'm a big girl and doubt that I would have lost enough weight by the time August comes. I don't want to spoil it for my daughter and wondered if anyone can tell me how big they are.

please don't worry about that - the turnstiles at both parks at DLP have booths right beside them manned by Disney staff (easily big enough to admit wheelchairs), so you will have no problem getting access to the parks.

hi was just wondering, someone suggested that the new dates will be available sometime next month maybe and i happened to notice that the current offer is bookable by 30th june. does this mean that sometime early july there will be a new offer available? maybe better? im also wondering wether this will include the kids under 12 stay and play free (normally during early next year) as we want to go march time and i will be taking a 7 year old with me.
    thanks for any ideas.

We are going to DLP in 2 weeks for the first time and I think we've managed to work out a fairly cheap holiday. We are driving, taking Eurotunnel paid for with Tesco vouchers. We will stay at Le Chene Gris campsite in a mobile home (£290 for a week 22nd - 29th May). Could have gone cheaper if we'd booked a tent. Haven't bought the actual park tickets yet but we want to go in the park for 2 days, so probably around £400 for 2 adults and 2 children. We'll also have a day or two in Paris itself and a couple of days for just chilling at the campsite. We're then driving up to Normandy for 6 nights in a cottage for £250. Bought Tesco travel insurance with Clubcard vouchers. So around £950 for a 2 week holiday in France (plus petrol). Really looking forward to it!

could have gone even cheaper if you booked using the SUN £9.50 holidays! ;)

we stayed @ Le Chene Gris for Oct half term, using the SUN holidays and Tesco clubcard deals for the tunnel too

we also used deals for the actual Disney tickets, though the coversion rate isn't great!

I am sure you would fit through, but if not there are gates for pushchairs / wheelchairs etc

There is a thread on DISboards which may interest you,it talks about experiences as a larger person @ DLP ie the rides etc http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77

if looking for August it will be expensive, best look to book soon!

    Happy planning

yes, no doubt there will be a new offer out within about a fortnight of the current offer ending. kids under 12 stay and play free is a standard offer from January to end of March-ish each year, its not an extra offer as such. Last year the extra offers (on top of kids under 12 stay and play free) included 2 days/nights free.

Thanks for prevoius answers evry1 - I was also wondering as we arrive in Paris at 9.30am and therefore should be at hotel 12/12.30 ish - would we be too early for check in? If this is the case would we be able to go to the parks? ( surely we need to check in to get tickets ) and is there anywhere to leave our luggage? Any help is very much appreciated !
